On the sixth day Eliasaph the son of Deuel, prince of the children of Gad, offered:

And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew it not.

tad vaaM daatram mahi kiirtenyam bhuut paidvo vaajii sadam id dhavyo aryaH

מַה־ תִּזְעַק֙ עַל־ שִׁבְרֵ֔ךְ אָנ֖וּשׁ מַכְאֹבֵ֑ךְ עַ֣ל ׀ רֹ֣ב עֲוֺנֵ֗ךְ עָֽצְמוּ֙ חַטֹּאתַ֔יִךְ עָשִׂ֥יתִי אֵ֖לֶּה לָֽךְ׃

And the land had rest forty years. And Othniel the son of Kenaz died.

כִּ֣י כָל־ הָעֹ֗שֶׁר אֲשֶׁ֨ר הִצִּ֤יל אֱלֹהִים֙ מֵֽאָבִ֔ינוּ לָ֥נוּ ה֖וּא וּלְבָנֵ֑ינוּ וְעַתָּ֗ה כֹּל֩ אֲשֶׁ֨ר אָמַ֧ר אֱלֹהִ֛ים אֵלֶ֖יךָ עֲשֵֽׂה׃

Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?

וְלֹ֨א נִמְצָ֜א נָשִׁ֥ים יָפ֛וֹת כִּבְנ֥וֹת אִיּ֖וֹב בְּכָל־ הָאָ֑רֶץ וַיִּתֵּ֨ן לָהֶ֧ם אֲבִיהֶ֛ם נַחֲלָ֖ה בְּת֥וֹךְ אֲחֵיהֶֽם׃

וְאֵ֙לֶּה֙ שְׁמ֣וֹת הָֽאֲנָשִׁ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר יַֽעַמְד֖וּ אִתְּכֶ֑ם לִרְאוּבֵ֕ן אֱלִיצ֖וּר בֶּן־ שְׁדֵיאֽוּר׃

λέγουσιν αὐτῷ, πειράζοντες· Διδάσκαλε, αὕτη ἡ γυνὴ κατελήφθη ἐπʼ αὐτοφόρῳ μοιχευομένη.

Of the sons of Shechaniah; the son of Jahaziel, and with him three hundred males.

Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom.

Deliver me, O LORD, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man;

yad dhaMsi vRtram ojasaa shaciipate bhadraa indrasya raatayaH

וַיִּשָּׂ֣א עֵינָ֗יו וַיַּ֞רְא אֶת־ בִּנְיָמִ֣ין אָחִיו֮ בֶּן־ אִמּוֹ֒ וַיֹּ֗אמֶר הֲזֶה֙ אֲחִיכֶ֣ם הַקָּטֹ֔ן אֲשֶׁ֥ר אֲמַרְתֶּ֖ם אֵלָ֑י וַיֹּאמַ֕ר אֱלֹהִ֥ים יָחְנְךָ֖ בְּנִֽי׃

רָנִּ֥י עֲקָרָ֖ה לֹ֣א יָלָ֑דָה פִּצְחִ֨י רִנָּ֤ה וְצַהֲלִי֙ לֹא־ חָ֔לָה כִּֽי־ רַבִּ֧ים בְּֽנֵי־ שׁוֹמֵמָ֛ה מִבְּנֵ֥י בְעוּלָ֖ה אָמַ֥ר יְהוָֽה׃

शुभाशुभफलैरेवं मोक्ष्यसे कर्मबन्धनैः । संन्यासयोगयुक्तात्मा विमुक्तो मामुपैष्यसि

יִרְבּ֥וּ עַצְּבוֹתָם֮ אַחֵ֢ר מָ֫הָ֥רוּ בַּל־ אַסִּ֣יךְ נִסְכֵּיהֶ֣ם מִדָּ֑ם וּֽבַל־ אֶשָּׂ֥א אֶת־ שְׁ֝מוֹתָ֗ם עַל־ שְׂפָתָֽי׃
