The pins of the tabernacle, and the pins of the court, and their cords,

Furthermore the LORD spake unto me, saying, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people:

And I will shew mercies unto you, that he may have mercy upon you, and cause you to return to your own land.

But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar among the people.

Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.

וַיִּהְי֣וּ פְקֻדֵיהֶ֗ם שְׁלֹשָׁ֤ה וְעֶשְׂרִים֙ אֶ֔לֶף כָּל־ זָכָ֖ר מִבֶּן־ חֹ֣דֶשׁ וָמָ֑עְלָה כִּ֣י ׀ לֹ֣א הָתְפָּקְד֗וּ בְּתוֹךְ֙ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל כִּ֠י לֹא־ נִתַּ֤ן לָהֶם֙...

וַתַּ֣הַר עוֹד֮ וַתֵּ֣לֶד בֵּן֒ וַתֹּ֗אמֶר עַתָּ֤ה הַפַּ֙עַם֙ יִלָּוֶ֤ה אִישִׁי֙ אֵלַ֔י כִּֽי־ יָלַ֥דְתִּי ל֖וֹ שְׁלֹשָׁ֣ה בָנִ֑ים עַל־ כֵּ֥ן קָרָֽא־ שְׁמ֖וֹ לֵוִֽי׃
