Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.

Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?

Break thou the arm of the wicked and the evil man: seek out his wickedness till thou find none.

אֵ֚יךְ נִלְכְּדָ֣ה שֵׁשַׁ֔ךְ וַתִּתָּפֵ֖שׂ תְּהִלַּ֣ת כָּל־ הָאָ֑רֶץ אֵ֣יךְ הָיְתָ֧ה לְשַׁמָּ֛ה בָּבֶ֖ל בַּגּוֹיִֽם׃

But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given.

וַתֹּ֣אמֶר לֵאָ֗ה זְבָדַ֨נִי אֱלֹהִ֥ים ׀ אֹתִי֮ זֵ֣בֶד טוֹב֒ הַפַּ֙עַם֙ יִזְבְּלֵ֣נִי אִישִׁ֔י כִּֽי־ יָלַ֥דְתִּי ל֖וֹ שִׁשָּׁ֣ה בָנִ֑ים וַתִּקְרָ֥א אֶת־ שְׁמ֖וֹ זְבֻלֽוּן׃

na sa jiiyate maruto na hanyate na sredhati na vyathate na riSyati

What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.

ἔλεγξιν δὲ ἔσχεν ἰδίας παρανομίας· ὑποζύγιον ἄφωνον ἐν ἀνθρώπου φωνῇ φθεγξάμενον ἐκώλυσεν τὴν τοῦ προφήτου παραφρονίαν.
