And Joash did that which was right in the sight of the LORD all the days of Jehoiada the priest.

וַיִּקְח֣וּ אֶֽת־ יִרְמְיָ֗הוּ וַיַּשְׁלִ֨כוּ אֹת֜וֹ אֶל־ הַבּ֣וֹר ׀ מַלְכִּיָּ֣הוּ בֶן־ הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ אֲשֶׁר֙ בַּחֲצַ֣ר הַמַּטָּרָ֔ה וַיְשַׁלְּח֥וּ אֶֽת־ יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ בַּחֲבָלִ֑ים...

They shall not take a wife that is a whore, or profane; neither shall they take a woman put away from her husband: for he is holy unto his God.

When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth.

And it was broken in that day: and so the poor of the flock that waited upon me knew that it was the word of the LORD.
