כָּ֭עֵת בַּמָּר֣וֹם תַּמְרִ֑יא תִּֽשְׂחַ֥ק לַ֝סּ֗וּס וּלְרֹֽכְבֽוֹ׃

מְקִֽימִ֣י מֵעָפָ֣ר דָּ֑ל מֵֽ֝אַשְׁפֹּ֗ת יָרִ֥ים אֶבְיֽוֹן׃

מַשָּׂ֖א נִֽינְוֵ֑ה סֵ֧פֶר חֲז֛וֹן נַח֖וּם הָאֶלְקֹשִֽׁי׃

הָרֹ֣ה עָ֭מָל וְיָלֹד אָ֑וֶן וּ֝בִטְנָ֗ם תָּכִ֥ין מִרְמָֽה׃

And when they had taken security of Jason, and of the other, they let them go.

ajuryaaso hariSaaco haridrava aa dyaaM raveNa pRthiviim ashushravuH

Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can.

Prepare the table, watch in the watchtower, eat, drink: arise, ye princes, and anoint the shield.

arepasaa tanvaaaa\ shaashadaanaa naarbhaad iiSate na maho vibhaatii

لَا يَرْقُبُونَ فِي مُؤْمِنٍ إِلًّا وَلَا ذِمَّةً وَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْمُعْتَدُونَ

And he said unto me, Who art thou? And I answered him, I am an Amalekite.

yat siiM havante samithe vi vo made yudhyamaanaas tokasaatau vivakSase

paadaav iva praharann anyam-anyaM kRNoti puurvam aparaM shaciibhiH

And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds.

The sorrows of hell compassed me about; the snares of death prevented me;

καὶ ἦλθαν σπεύσαντες καὶ ἀνεῦραν τήν τε Μαριὰμ καὶ τὸν Ἰωσὴφ καὶ τὸ βρέφος κείμενον ἐν τῇ φάτνῃ·

The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me.

And the oracle he prepared in the house within, to set there the ark of the covenant of the LORD.

tasmaa u adya samanaa sutam bharaa nuunam bhuuSata shrute

Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment.

तपाम्यहमहं वर्षं निगृह्णाम्युत्सृजामि च । अमृतं चैव मृत्युश्च सदसच्चाहमर्जुन
