בֵּ֤ן פֹּרָת֙ יוֹסֵ֔ף בֵּ֥ן פֹּרָ֖ת עֲלֵי־ עָ֑יִן בָּנ֕וֹת צָעֲדָ֖ה עֲלֵי־ שֽׁוּר׃

تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي إِنْ شَاءَ جَعَلَ لَكَ خَيْرًا مِنْ ذَلِكَ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ وَيَجْعَلْ لَكَ قُصُورًا

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

amartyaM cid daasam manyamaanam avaabhinad ukthair vaavRdhaanaH

If I have walked with vanity, or if my foot hath hasted to deceit;

bRhaspate tapuSaashneva vidhya vRkadvaraso asurasya viiraan

Shall not his excellency make you afraid? and his dread fall upon you?

yasmai tvam maghavann indra girvaNaH shikSo shikSasi daashuSe

And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:

And Joshua rose early in the morning, and the priests took up the ark of the LORD.

Ishmerai also, and Jezliah, and Jobab, the sons of Elpaal;

He sent from above, he took me, he drew me out of many waters.

وَيَوْمَ نَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيعًا ثُمَّ نَقُولُ لِلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا أَيْنَ شُرَكَاؤُكُمُ الَّذِينَ كُنْتُمْ تَزْعُمُونَ

Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger.

He sent from above, he took me; he drew me out of many waters;

ἀκούσαντες δὲ ἐβαπτίσθησαν εἰς τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ κυρίου Ἰησοῦ·

uurdhvaa dhiitiH praty asya prayaamany adhaayi shasman sam ayanta aa dishaH

suuryaM cakSur gachatu vaatam aatmaa dyaaM ca gacha pRthiviiM ca dharmaNaa

radhracodaH shnathano viiLitas pRthur indraH suyaj~na uSasaH sva\r janat

tirashciino vitato rashmir eSaam adhaH svid aasii 3d upari svid aasii3t

عَلَى أَنْ نُبَدِّلَ خَيْرًا مِنْهُمْ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَسْبُوقِينَ

And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
