נָשִׁים֙ בְּצִיּ֣וֹן עִנּ֔וּ בְּתֻלֹ֖ת בְּעָרֵ֥י יְהוּדָֽה׃

הָרִ֣יעוּ לַֽ֭יהוָה כָּל־ הָאָ֑רֶץ פִּצְח֖וּ וְרַנְּנ֣וּ וְזַמֵּֽרוּ׃

זֶ֭ה דּ֣וֹר דרשו דֹּרְשָׁ֑יו מְבַקְשֵׁ֨י פָנֶ֖יךָ יַעֲקֹ֣ב סֶֽלָה׃

בַּ֭דֶּיךָ מְתִ֣ים יַחֲרִ֑ישׁו וַ֝תִּלְעַ֗ג וְאֵ֣ין מַכְלִֽם׃

הַבֹּטְחִ֥ים עַל־ חֵילָ֑ם וּבְרֹ֥ב עָ֝שְׁרָ֗ם יִתְהַלָּֽלוּ׃

וְנִקֵּ֖יתִי דָּמָ֣ם לֹֽא־ נִקֵּ֑יתִי וַֽיהוָ֖ה שֹׁכֵ֥ן בְּצִיּֽוֹן׃

puruuNi ratnaa dadhatau ny a\sme anu puurvaaNi cakhyathur yugaani

hotaaraM sapta juhvo\ yajiSThaM yaM vaaghato vRNate adhvareSu

When the wicked cometh, then cometh also contempt, and with ignominy reproach.

saM devaiH shobhate vRSaa kavir yonaav adhi priyaH

ashapata yaH karasnaM va aadade yaH praabraviit pro tasmaa abraviitana

Beware therefore, lest that come upon you, which is spoken of in the prophets;

इदं ज्ञानमुपाश्रित्य मम साधर्म्यमागताः । सर्गेऽपि नोपजायन्ते प्रलये न व्यथन्ति च

I have done judgment and justice: leave me not to mine oppressors.

I gave thee a king in mine anger, and took him away in my wrath.

Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.

sahasrasaam medhasaataav iva tmanaagniM dhiibhiH saparyata

uto kavim purubhujaa yuvaM ha kRpamaaNam akRNutaM vicakSe

For this was a statute for Israel, and a law of the God of Jacob.

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْآخِرَةِ زَيَّنَّا لَهُمْ أَعْمَالَهُمْ فَهُمْ يَعْمَهُونَ

vanema puurviir aryo maniiSaa agniH sushoko vishvaany ashyaaH

Chasten thy son while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare for his crying.

na te duure paramaa cid rajaaMsy aa tu pra yaahi harivo haribhyaam

And said, If Esau come to the one company, and smite it, then the other company which is left shall escape.
