זַרְעָ֤ם נָכ֣וֹן לִפְנֵיהֶ֣ם עִמָּ֑ם וְ֝צֶאֱצָאֵיהֶ֗ם לְעֵינֵיהֶֽם׃

אַשְׁפָּת֖וֹ כְּקֶ֣בֶר פָּת֑וּחַ כֻּלָּ֖ם גִּבּוֹרִֽים׃

עֲנֵ֣ה כְ֭סִיל כְּאִוַּלְתּ֑וֹ פֶּן־ יִהְיֶ֖ה חָכָ֣ם בְּעֵינָֽיו׃

Then the handmaidens came near, they and their children, and they bowed themselves.

havanta u tvaa havyaM vivaaci tanuuSu shuuraaH suuryasya saatau

ugro yayiM nir apaH srotasaasRjad vi shuSNasya dRMhitaa airayat puraH

As snow in summer, and as rain in harvest, so honour is not seemly for a fool.

τί οὖν φημι; ὅτι ⸂εἰδωλόθυτόν τί ἐστιν, ἢ ὅτι εἴδωλόν⸃ τί ἐστιν;

paraavataH sumatim bhikSamaaNaa vi sindhavaH samayaa sasrur adrim

وَمَنْ يَهْدِ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُ مِنْ مُضِلٍّ أَلَيْسَ اللَّهُ بِعَزِيزٍ ذِي انْتِقَامٍ

μοῦνος· τοὺς δʼ ἄλλους Δαναοὺς ἐφόβησε Κρονίων.

Of the singers also; Eliashib: and of the porters; Shallum, and Telem, and Uri.

eSaa shubhraa na tanvo\ vidaanordhveva snaatii dRshaye no asthaat

And Isaac departed thence, and pitched his tent in the valley of Gerar, and dwelt there.

samaanaM niiLaM vRSaNo vasaanaaH saM jagmire mahiSaa arvatiibhiH

tavaayam bhaaga aayuSu somo deveSu huuyate

συνεπέθεντο δὲ καὶ οἱ Ἰουδαῖοι φάσκοντες ταῦτα οὕτως ἔχειν.

I am counted with them that go down into the pit: I am as a man that hath no strength:

havaa id aryo abhitaH sam aayan kiyad aasu svapatish chandayaate

Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many.

jyeSTham maataa suunave bhaagam aadhaad anv asya ketam iSitaM savitraa

قَدْ سَأَلَهَا قَوْمٌ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ ثُمَّ أَصْبَحُوا بِهَا كَافِرِينَ
