לְהַקּוֹץ֙ הַשְּׁבִעִ֔י לַאֲבִיָּ֖ה הַשְּׁמִינִֽי׃

לִקְרֹ֥א לְעֹֽבְרֵי־ דָ֑רֶךְ הַֽ֝מְיַשְּׁרִ֗ים אֹֽרְחוֹתָֽם׃

וּבְנֵ֖י נַפְתָּלִ֑י יַחְצְאֵ֥ל וְגוּנִ֖י וְיֵ֥צֶר וְשִׁלֵּֽם׃

אֶשְׁפֹּ֣ךְ לְפָנָ֣יו שִׂיחִ֑י צָ֝רָתִ֗י לְפָנָ֥יו אַגִּֽיד׃

אַלְבִּ֥ישׁ שָׁמַ֖יִם קַדְר֑וּת וְשַׂ֖ק אָשִׂ֥ים כְּסוּתָֽם׃

bRhatketum pururuupaM dhanaspRtaM susharmaaNaM svavasaM jaradviSam

takSad yat ta ushanaa sahasaa saho vi rodasii majmanaa baadhate shavaH

οὐδʼ Ἀχιλῆά ποθʼ ὧδέ γʼ ἐδείδιμεν ὄρχαμον ἀνδρῶν,

O give thanks to the Lord of lords: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious.

A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

saro na praasy udaraM sapiitibhir aa somebhir uru sphiram

And Pilate, when he had called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people,

Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; and the end of that mirth is heaviness.

yaM tvaa devaa dadhire havyavaaham puruspRho maanuSaaso yajatram

Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.

Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men’s sins: keep thyself pure.

Should thy lies make men hold their peace? and when thou mockest, shall no man make thee ashamed?
