לָ֭רֹכֵב בִּשְׁמֵ֣י שְׁמֵי־ קֶ֑דֶם הֵ֥ן יִתֵּ֥ן בְּ֝קוֹלוֹ ק֣וֹל עֹֽז׃

הָקִ֤יצוּ שִׁכּוֹרִים֙ וּבְכ֔וּ וְהֵילִ֖לוּ כָּל־ שֹׁ֣תֵי יָ֑יִן עַל־ עָסִ֕יס כִּ֥י נִכְרַ֖ת מִפִּיכֶֽם׃

And Phinehas the son of Eleazar was the ruler over them in time past, and the LORD was with him.

kva\ sya viiraH ko apashyad indraM sukharatham iiyamaanaM haribhyaam

Speak not in the ears of a fool: for he will despise the wisdom of thy words.

Thou, O LORD, remainest for ever; thy throne from generation to generation.

قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ مِنْ رِزْقٍ فَجَعَلْتُمْ مِنْهُ حَرَامًا وَحَلَالًا قُلْ آللَّهُ أَذِنَ لَكُمْ أَمْ عَلَى اللَّهِ تَفْتَرُونَ

uSas tam ashyaaM yashasaM suviiraM daasapravargaM rayim ashvabudhyam

yasya dyaavaapRthivii pauMsyam mahad yasya vrate varuNo yasya suuryaH

My son, be wise, and make my heart glad, that I may answer him that reproacheth me.

All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O LORD, when they hear the words of thy mouth.

δίψά τε καὶ λιμός, βλάβεται δέ τε γούνατʼ ἰόντι.

tayor id amavac chavas tigmaa didyun maghonoH

The LORD shall count, when he writeth up the people, that this man was born there. Selah.

And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.

For by it the elders obtained a good report.

aa na stomam upa dravat tuuyaM shyenebhir aashubhiH

καὶ βάλεν Ἄμφιον Σελάγου υἱόν, ὅς ῥʼ ἐνὶ Παισῷ

aa tiSThati maghavaa sanashruta indro vaajasya diirghashravasas patiH

وَلَا يَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا سَبَقُوا إِنَّهُمْ لَا يُعْجِزُونَ

रजसि प्रलयं गत्वा कर्मसङ्गिषु जायते । तथा प्रलीनस्तमसि मूढयोनिषु जायते
