וַיַּ֥עַן אֱלִיה֗וּא וַיֹּאמַֽר׃

עַל־ כֵּ֭ן אָהַ֣בְתִּי מִצְוֺתֶ֑יךָ מִזָּהָ֥ב וּמִפָּֽז׃

אִם־ אֵֽין־ לְךָ֥ לְשַׁלֵּ֑ם לָ֥מָּה יִקַּ֥ח מִ֝שְׁכָּבְךָ֗ מִתַּחְתֶּֽיךָ׃

הַלְאֵ֥ל יְלַמֶּד־ דָּ֑עַת וְ֝ה֗וּא רָמִ֥ים יִשְׁפּֽוֹט׃

If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?

Now the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying,

Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.

But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.

For the LORD is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.

وَإِنْ كَانُوا مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يُنَزَّلَ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنْ قَبْلِهِ لَمُبْلِسِينَ

Who can utter the mighty acts of the LORD? who can shew forth all his praise?

yuvaM rebham pariSuuter uruSyatho himena gharmam paritaptam atraye

yo agniiSomaa haviSaa saparyaad devadriicaa manasaa yo ghRtena

uttaraa suur adharaH putra aasiid daanuH shaye sahavatsaa na dhenuH
