הֲיַעֲרֹ֣ךְ שׁ֭וּעֲךָ לֹ֣א בְצָ֑ר וְ֝כֹ֗ל מַאֲמַצֵּי־ כֹֽחַ׃

וְ֭אַיֵּה אֵפ֣וֹ תִקְוָתִ֑י וְ֝תִקְוָתִ֗י מִ֣י יְשׁוּרֶֽנָּה׃

וֶאֱלִיעֵנַ֥י וְצִלְּתַ֖י וֶאֱלִיאֵֽל׃

נֵר־ לְרַגְלִ֥י דְבָרֶ֑ךָ וְ֝א֗וֹר לִנְתִיבָתִֽי׃

So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.

And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.

فَأَخَذَهُمُ الْعَذَابُ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ

All the days of the afflicted are evil: but he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast.

tvaM hi dRLhaa maghavan vicetaa apaa vRdhi parivRtaM na raadhaH

وَلَكِنَّا أَنْشَأْنَا قُرُونًا فَتَطَاوَلَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْعُمُرُ وَمَا كُنْتَ ثَاوِيًا فِي أَهْلِ مَدْيَنَ تَتْلُو عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتِنَا وَلَكِنَّا كُنَّا مُرْسِلِينَ

pra vaaM daMsaaMsy ashvinaav avocam asya patiH syaaM sugavaH suviiraH

asi satya RNayaa brahmaNas pata ugrasya cid damitaa viiLuharSiNaH

te ghed agne svaadhyo\ ye tvaa vipra nidadhire nRcakSasam

So they did eat, and were well filled: for he gave them their own desire;

For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer.

shakema tvaa samidhaM saadhayaa dhiyas tve devaa havir adanty aahutam

بَلْ أَتَيْنَاهُمْ بِالْحَقِّ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَ

saho na indro vahnibhir ny e\SaaM carSaNiinaaM cakraM rashmiM na yoyuve

Make me to understand the way of thy precepts: so shall I talk of thy wondrous works.

For they have refreshed my spirit and yours: therefore acknowledge ye them that are such.

قُلْ لَوْ أَنْتُمْ تَمْلِكُونَ خَزَائِنَ رَحْمَةِ رَبِّي إِذًا لَأَمْسَكْتُمْ خَشْيَةَ الْإِنْفَاقِ وَكَانَ الْإِنْسَانُ قَتُورًا

patiM dakSasya vidathasya nuu saho giriM na venaa adhi roha tejasaa

When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.
