לִשְׁנַ֤יִם וְעֶשְׂרִים֙ לְגִדַּ֔לְתִּי בָּנָ֥יו וְאֶחָ֖יו שְׁנֵ֥ים עָשָֽׂר׃

וַיְחֻנֶּ֗נּוּ וַיֹּ֗אמֶר פְּ֭דָעֵהוּ מֵרֶ֥דֶת שָׁ֗חַת מָצָ֥אתִי כֹֽפֶר׃

וַֽיַּעֲשׂוּ֙ עַל־ שׁוּלֵ֣י הַמְּעִ֔יל רִמּוֹנֵ֕י תְּכֵ֥לֶת וְאַרְגָּמָ֖ן וְתוֹלַ֣עַת שָׁנִ֑י מָשְׁזָֽר׃

תָּב֣וֹא לְ֭פָנֶיךָ תְּפִלָּתִ֑י הַטֵּֽה־ אָ֝זְנְךָ֗ לְרִנָּתִֽי׃

וַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְ יְהוֹשָׁפָ֥ט בְּנ֖וֹ תַּחְתָּ֑יו וַיִּתְחַזֵּ֖ק עַל־ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

כִּשְׂח֣וֹק לִ֭כְסִיל עֲשׂ֣וֹת זִמָּ֑ה וְ֝חָכְמָ֗ה לְאִ֣ישׁ תְּבוּנָֽה׃

לֹא־ יֻתַּ֣ן סְג֣וֹר תַּחְתֶּ֑יהָ וְלֹ֥א יִ֝שָּׁקֵ֗ל כֶּ֣סֶף מְחִירָֽהּ׃

ἱδρῶ θʼ ὃν ἵδρωσα μόγῳ, καμέτην δέ μοι ἵπποι

Now for a recompence in the same, (I speak as unto my children,) be ye also enlarged.

shriye chando na smayate vibhaatii supratiikaa saumanasaayaajiigaH

bhuutam me ahna uta bhuutam aktave .ashvaavate rathine shaktam arvate

And Keilah, and Achzib, and Mareshah; nine cities with their villages:

καὶ ἐξελθὼν περὶ τρίτην ὥραν εἶδεν ἄλλους ἑστῶτας ἐν τῇ ἀγορᾷ ἀργούς·

shuura iva dhRSNush cyavanaH sumitraH pra nu vocaM vaadhryashvasya naama

And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.

Thus they changed their glory into the similitude of an ox that eateth grass.

And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me;

tvaM vi bhaasy anu dakSi daavane tvaM vishikSur asi yaj~nam aataniH

Rtena yanto adhi sindhum asthur vidad gandharvo amRtaani naama

akarma te svapaso abhuuma Rtam avasrann uSaso vibhaatiiH

أُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ لَهُمْ سُوءُ الْعَذَابِ وَهُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ هُمُ الْأَخْسَرُونَ

Hast thou an arm like God? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him?

maa no vadhiir indra maa paraa daa maa naH priyaa bhojanaani pra moSiiH
