וְשַׂמְתָּ֣ שַׂכִּ֣ין בְּלֹעֶ֑ךָ אִם־ בַּ֖עַל נֶ֣פֶשׁ אָֽתָּה׃

בַּחוּרִים֙ טְח֣וֹן נָשָׂ֔אוּ וּנְעָרִ֖ים בָּעֵ֥ץ כָּשָֽׁלוּ׃

מִֽי־ יַגִּ֣יד עַל־ פָּנָ֣יו דַּרְכּ֑וֹ וְהֽוּא־ עָ֝שָׂ֗ה מִ֣י יְשַׁלֶּם־ לֽוֹ׃

And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof;

I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine.

τὸν βάλʼ ὑπὸ γναθμοῖο καὶ οὔατος, ἐκ δʼ ἄρʼ ὀδόντας

Yet shalt thou plunge me in the ditch, and mine own clothes shall abhor me.

For they speak not peace: but they devise deceitful matters against them that are quiet in the land.

karNagRhyaa maghavaa shauradevyo vatsaM nas tribhya aanayat

maataa yan mantur yuuthasya puurvyaabhi vaaNasya saptadhaatur ij janaH

ὅτι ἐτέχθη ὑμῖν σήμερον σωτὴρ ὅς ἐστιν χριστὸς κύριος ἐν πόλει Δαυίδ·

avaitv abhvaM kRNutaa variiyo divaspRthivyor avasaa madema

Our fathers have sinned, and are not; and we have borne their iniquities.

τοῦτο δὲ ἔλεγεν πειράζων αὐτόν, αὐτὸς γὰρ ᾔδει τί ἔμελλεν ποιεῖν.

O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.
