מ֖וּזָר הָיִ֣יתִי לְאֶחָ֑י וְ֝נָכְרִ֗י לִבְנֵ֥י אִמִּֽי׃

מִבְּנֵ֣י בָנִ֔י מַעֲדַ֥י עַמְרָ֖ם וְאוּאֵֽל׃

וְלֹא־ נָס֥וֹג מִמֶּ֑ךָּ תְּ֝חַיֵּ֗נוּ וּבְשִׁמְךָ֥ נִקְרָֽא׃

For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.

ut tvaa sutaaso rabhasaa amandiSuH puuSaNvaan vajrin sam u patnyaamadaH

Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth.

arcantiindram marutaH sadhasthe traiSTubhena vacasaa baadhata dyaam

bRhaspatir naH pari paatu pashcaad utottarasmaad adharaad aghaayoH

That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations.

فَاسْتَقِمْ كَمَا أُمِرْتَ وَمَنْ تَابَ مَعَكَ وَلَا تَطْغَوْا إِنَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ

τὰς δὲ μωρὰς καὶ ἀπαιδεύτους ζητήσεις παραιτοῦ, εἰδὼς ὅτι γεννῶσι μάχας·

evaa te agne vimado maniiSaam uurjo napaad amRtebhiH sajoSaaH

أَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّا جَعَلْنَا اللَّيْلَ لِيَسْكُنُوا فِيهِ وَالنَّهَارَ مُبْصِرًا إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ

Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?

That bringeth the princes to nothing; he maketh the judges of the earth as vanity.
