שָׁפְטֵ֣נִי כְ֭צִדְקְךָ יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהָ֗י וְאַל־ יִשְׂמְחוּ־ לִֽי׃

בְּנֵי־ גַזָּ֥ם בְּנֵי־ עֻזָּ֖א בְּנֵ֥י פָסֵֽחַ׃

וַנֵּ֣שֶׁב בַּגָּ֔יְא מ֖וּל בֵּ֥ית פְּעֽוֹר׃

And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:

sa no mandraabhir adhvare jihvaabhir yajaa mahaH

Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God, and serve him, and shalt swear by his name.

When the host goeth forth against thine enemies, then keep thee from every wicked thing.

maa vo daatraan maruto nir araama maa pashcaad daghma rathyo vibhaage

And the LORD plagued the people, because they made the calf, which Aaron made.

mahaam ubhe rodasii vRddham RSvaM nir ekam id vRNate vRtrahatye

And the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thine hand before their eyes.

Now some are puffed up, as though I would not come to you.

tato yakSmaM vi baadhadhva ugro madhyamashiir iva

vibhraajamaana uSasaam upasthaad rebhair ud ety anumadyamaanaH

vi ced uchanty ashvinaa uSaasaH pra vaam brahmaaNi kaaravo bharante

ἡμεῖς δὲ τῇ προσευχῇ καὶ τῇ διακονίᾳ τοῦ λόγου προσκαρτερήσομεν.

priyaM te naama sahure gRNiimasi vidmaa tam utsaM yata aababhuutha

eSaa syaa no duhitaa divojaaH kSitiir uchantii maanuSiir ajiigaH
