וַיֹּ֥אמֶר אֲלֵיהֶ֖ם מֹשֶׁ֑ה הַֽחִיִּיתֶ֖ם כָּל־ נְקֵבָֽה׃

וּפִגְרֵיכֶ֖ם אַתֶּ֑ם יִפְּל֖וּ בַּמִּדְבָּ֥ר הַזֶּֽה׃

הֵן־ אֲנִ֣י כְפִ֣יךָ לָאֵ֑ל מֵ֝חֹ֗מֶר קֹרַ֥צְתִּי גַם־ אָֽנִי׃

فَلَمَّا رَجَعُوا إِلَى أَبِيهِمْ قَالُوا يَا أَبَانَا مُنِعَ مِنَّا الْكَيْلُ فَأَرْسِلْ مَعَنَا أَخَانَا نَكْتَلْ وَإِنَّا لَهُ لَحَافِظُونَ

tigmeSava aayudhaa saMshishaanaa abhi pra yantu naro agniruupaaH

Thus shalt thou separate the Levites from among the children of Israel: and the Levites shall be mine.

pashcaa mRdho apa bhavantu vishvaas tad rodasii shRNutaM vishvaminve

shraddhayaagniH sam idhyate shraddhayaa huuyate haviH

tridhaa samaktaM nayatu prajaanan devebhyo daivyaH shamitopa havyam

وَإِذَا أَنْعَمْنَا عَلَى الْإِنْسَانِ أَعْرَضَ وَنَأَى بِجَانِبِهِ وَإِذَا مَسَّهُ الشَّرُّ كَانَ يَئُوسًا

maa te kashaplakau dRshan strii hi brahmaa babhuuvitha

Hear, ye that are far off, what I have done; and, ye that are near, acknowledge my might.

Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath.

kadaa bhuvan rathakSayaaNi brahma kadaa stotre sahasrapoSya\M daaH

The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.

And they took their journey out of the wilderness of Sin, and encamped in Dophkah.

Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
