כִּֽי־ עַד־ צֶ֭דֶק יָשׁ֣וּב מִשְׁפָּ֑ט וְ֝אַחֲרָ֗יו כָּל־ יִשְׁרֵי־ לֵֽב׃

מִי־ שָׁ֭ת בַּטֻּח֣וֹת חָכְמָ֑ה א֤וֹ מִֽי־ נָתַ֖ן לַשֶּׂ֣כְוִי בִינָֽה׃

וְנָדַ֖מּוּ נְא֣וֹת הַשָּׁל֑וֹם מִפְּנֵ֖י חֲר֥וֹן אַף־ יְהוָֽה׃

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا إِلَى ثَمُودَ أَخَاهُمْ صَالِحًا أَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ فَإِذَا هُمْ فَرِيقَانِ يَخْتَصِمُونَ

eSa sya somaH pavate sahasrajid dhinvaano vaacam iSiraam uSarbudham

uto hi vaaM daatraa santi puurvaa yaa puurubhyas trasadasyur nitoshe

The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true.

यया धर्ममधर्मं च कार्यं चाकार्यमेव च । अयथावत्प्रजानाति बुद्धिः सा पार्थ राजसी

adhi yaa bRhato divo\ .abhi yuutheva pashyataH

pra shmashru haryato duudhod vi vRthaa yo adaabhyaH

And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates:

RSvair agachaH sakhibhir nikaamaiH saakam pratiSThaa hRdyaa jaghantha

abodhi jaara uSasaam upasthaad dhotaa mandraH kavitamaH paavakaH

yuvaM vandanam Rshyadaad ud uupathur yuvaM sadyo vishpalaam etave kRthaH

مَا يَأْتِيهِمْ مِنْ ذِكْرٍ مِنْ رَبِّهِمْ مُحْدَثٍ إِلَّا اسْتَمَعُوهُ وَهُمْ يَلْعَبُونَ

To him who alone doeth great wonders: for his mercy endureth for ever.

The wrath of God came upon them, and slew the fattest of them, and smote down the chosen men of Israel.

For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

dyubhir hitam mitram iva prayogam pratnam Rtvijam adhvarasya jaaram

And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons for ever.

Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ قَدْ جَاءَكُمْ بُرْهَانٌ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ وَأَنْزَلْنَا إِلَيْكُمْ نُورًا مُبِينًا
