כִּֽי־ הֶ֭חֱרַשְׁתִּי בָּ֣לוּ עֲצָמָ֑י בְּ֝שַׁאֲגָתִ֗י כָּל־ הַיּֽוֹם׃

וּמִבְּנֵ֣י עֵילָ֔ם יְשַֽׁעְיָ֖ה בֶּן־ עֲתַלְיָ֑ה וְעִמּ֖וֹ שִׁבְעִ֥ים הַזְּכָרִֽים׃

בַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר בֵּ֚ית הָעֲרָבָ֔ה מִדִּ֖ין וּסְכָכָֽה׃

וַיִּסַּ֣ע אַבְרָ֔ם הָל֥וֹךְ וְנָס֖וֹעַ הַנֶּֽגְבָּה׃

וְעַ֛ל רֹ֥אשׁ הָעַמּוּדִ֖ים מַעֲשֵׂ֣ה שׁוֹשָׁ֑ן וַתִּתֹּ֖ם מְלֶ֥אכֶת הָעַמּוּדִֽים׃

בְּנֵ֥י גֵרְשׁ֖וֹם שְׁבוּאֵ֥ל הָרֹֽאשׁ׃

כִּֽי־ נַ֭פְשׁוֹ בְּחַיָּ֣יו יְבָרֵ֑ךְ וְ֝יוֹדֻ֗ךָ כִּי־ תֵיטִ֥יב לָֽךְ׃

aa gaavo agmann uta bhadram akran siidantu goSThe raNayantv asme

And he answered and said unto them, I will also ask you one thing; and answer me:

What will ye? shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love, and in the spirit of meekness?

vishve devaaso adha maam arakSan duHshaasur aagaad iti ghoSa aasiit

My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:

tvad vipro jaayate vaajy a\gne tvad viiraaso abhimaatiSaahaH

There were therefore seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and died without children.

τί γὰρ οἶδας, γύναι, εἰ τὸν ἄνδρα σώσεις; ἢ τί οἶδας, ἄνερ, εἰ τὴν γυναῖκα σώσεις;

The labour of the righteous tendeth to life: the fruit of the wicked to sin.

बृहत्साम तथा साम्नां गायत्री छन्दसामहम् । मासानां मार्गशीर्षोऽहमृतूनां कुसुमाकरः

So Gad came to David, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Choose thee

aa vaaM dhiyo vavRtyur adhvaraaM+ upemam indum marmRjanta vaajinam aashum atyaM na vaajinam

maataa mitrasya revato .aryamNo varuNasya caanehaso va uutayaH suuutayo va uutayaH

εἶπεν οὖν ⸀ἡ Μάρθα πρὸς ⸀τὸν Ἰησοῦν· Κύριε, εἰ ἦς ὧδε ⸂οὐκ ἂν ἀπέθανεν ὁ ἀδελφός μου⸃·

And there was found at Achmetha, in the palace that is in the province of the Medes, a roll, and therein was a record thus written:

κοῦφα ποσὶ προβιβὰς καὶ ὑπασπίδια προποδίζων.

Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
