טַפֵּ֣נוּ נָשֵׁ֔ינוּ מִקְנֵ֖נוּ וְכָל־ בְּהֶמְתֵּ֑נוּ יִֽהְיוּ־ שָׁ֖ם בְּעָרֵ֥י הַגִּלְעָֽד׃

הִתְאַחֲדִ֥י הֵימִ֖נִי הָשִׂ֣ימִי הַשְׂמִ֑ילִי אָ֖נָה פָּנַ֥יִךְ מֻעָדֽוֹת׃

כַּצִּפּ֣וֹר לָ֭נוּד כַּדְּר֣וֹר לָע֑וּף כֵּ֥ן קִֽלְלַ֥ת חִ֝נָּ֗ם לא ל֣וֹ תָבֹֽא׃

וְנָֽתַתִּי֙ אֶת־ הַ֣ר שֵׂעִ֔יר לְשִֽׁמְמָ֖ה וּשְׁמָמָ֑ה וְהִכְרַתִּ֥י מִמֶּ֖נּוּ עֹבֵ֥ר וָשָֽׁב׃

כִּ֤י כָל־ רֹאשׁ֙ קָרְחָ֔ה וְכָל־ זָקָ֖ן גְּרֻעָ֑ה עַ֤ל כָּל־ יָדַ֙יִם֙ גְּדֻדֹ֔ת וְעַל־ מָתְנַ֖יִם שָֽׂק׃

חָקְרֵ֣נִי אֵ֭ל וְדַ֣ע לְבָבִ֑י בְּ֝חָנֵ֗נִי וְדַ֣ע שַׂרְעַפָּֽי׃

וְֽאוּלָ֗ם מִֽי־ יִתֵּ֣ן אֱל֣וֹהַּ דַּבֵּ֑ר וְיִפְתַּ֖ח שְׂפָתָ֣יו עִמָּֽךְ׃

And it came to pass, that there went out some of the people on the seventh day for to gather, and they found none.

In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.

आयुधानामहं वज्रं धेनूनामस्मि कामधुक् । प्रजनश्चास्मि कन्दर्पः सर्पाणामस्मि वासुकिः

Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me.

aa rashmayo gabhastyo sthuurayor aadhvann ashvaaso vRSaNo yujaanaaH

سَخَّرَهَا عَلَيْهِمْ سَبْعَ لَيَالٍ وَثَمَانِيَةَ أَيَّامٍ حُسُومًا فَتَرَى الْقَوْمَ فِيهَا صَرْعَى كَأَنَّهُمْ أَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍ خَاوِيَةٍ

dashemaM tvaSTur janayanta garbham atandraaso yuvatayo vibhRtram

μηδενὶ κακὸν ἀντὶ κακοῦ ἀποδιδόντες· προνοούμενοι καλὰ ἐνώπιον πάντων ἀνθρώπων·

ὃς ἐμαρτύρησεν τὸν λόγον τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ τὴν μαρτυρίαν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ, ὅσα εἶδεν.

ubhaa pitaraa mahayann ajaayataagnir dyaavaapRthivii bhuuriretasaa

And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judaea which were in Christ:

لَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ لِمَنْ كَانَ يَرْجُو اللَّهَ وَالْيَوْمَ الْآخِرَ وَذَكَرَ اللَّهَ كَثِيرًا

But thou hast cast off, and put us to shame; and goest not forth with our armies.

sa yo vy asthaad abhi dakSad urviim pashur naiti svayur agopaaH

yaH suuryaaM vahati vandhuraayur girvaahasam purutamaM vasuuyum

kva\ tyaani nau sakhyaa babhuuvuH sacaavahe yad avRkam puraa cit

ashvaamaghaa gomaghaa vaaM huvema divaa naktaM sharum asmad yuyotam
