וַיִּלְכֹּ֣ד דָּוִ֔ד אֵ֖ת מְצֻדַ֣ת צִיּ֑וֹן הִ֖יא עִ֥יר דָּוִֽד׃

מִ֭בְּכִי נְהָר֣וֹת חִבֵּ֑שׁ וְ֝תַעֲלֻמָ֗הּ יֹ֣צִא אֽוֹר׃

gharmo na vaajajaTharo .adabdhaH shashvato dabhaH

وَأُوحِيَ إِلَى نُوحٍ أَنَّهُ لَنْ يُؤْمِنَ مِنْ قَوْمِكَ إِلَّا مَنْ قَدْ آمَنَ فَلَا تَبْتَئِسْ بِمَا كَانُوا يَفْعَلُونَ

apsu dhuutasya harivaH pibeha nRbhiH sutasya jaTharam pRNasva

sa hanti vRtraa samitheSu shatruun avobhir vaa mahadbhiH sa pra shRNve

ἐλεύσονται δὲ ἡμέραι, καὶ ὅταν ἀπαρθῇ ἀπʼ αὐτῶν ὁ νυμφίος τότε νηστεύσουσιν ἐν ἐκείναις ταῖς ἡμέραις.

taa vaaM dhiyo .avase vaajayantiir aajiM na jagmur yuvayuuH sudaanuu

My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD.

The bloodthirsty hate the upright: but the just seek his soul.

When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.

ὁ μὲν οὖν χιλίαρχος ἀπέλυσε τὸν ⸀νεανίσκον παραγγείλας μηδενὶ ἐκλαλῆσαι ὅτι ταῦτα ἐνεφάνισας πρὸς ⸀ἐμέ.

My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how long?
