וַיְהִי־ ק֕וֹל מֵעַ֕ל לָרָקִ֖יעַ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עַל־ רֹאשָׁ֑ם בְּעָמְדָּֿ֖ם תְּרַפֶּ֥ינָה כַנְפֵיהֶֽן׃

And there came out a fire from the LORD, and consumed the two hundred and fifty men that offered incense.

καὶ πεσὼν ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν ἤκουσεν φωνὴν λέγουσαν αὐτῷ Σαοὺλ Σαούλ, τί με διώκεις;

Thou hast covered thyself with a cloud, that our prayer should not pass through.

na vaayanti subhvo\ devayuktaa ye vaaM dhuurSu taraNayo vahanti

Doth not their excellency which is in them go away? they die, even without wisdom.

In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.

vayaa id anyaa bhuvanaany asya pra jaayante viirudhash ca prajaabhiH

ime yaamaasas tvadrig abhuuvan vasave vaa tad id aago avaaci

ὡς δʼ ὅτʼ ἀνὴρ ταύροιο βοὸς μεγάλοιο βοείην

What manner of saying is this that he said, Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come?

shakema raayaH sudhuro yamaM te .adhi shravo devabhaktaM dadhaanaaH

taabhir uu Su vRtrahatye .aviir na ebhish ca vaajair mahaan na ugra

ghRtaM caapaam puruSaM cauSadhiinaam agnesh ca diirgham aayur astu devaaH

tvaM tyebhir aa gahi vaajebhir duhitar divaH
