אִ֣ישׁ תּ֭וֹכָחוֹת מַקְשֶׁה־ עֹ֑רֶף פֶּ֥תַע יִ֝שָּׁבֵ֗ר וְאֵ֣ין מַרְפֵּֽא׃

וַיֵּ֕לֶךְ בְּדַרְכֵ֖י מַלְכֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְגַ֧ם מַסֵּכ֛וֹת עָשָׂ֖ה לַבְּעָלִֽים׃

וְֽהַקֳּדָשִׁ֑ים בָּקָר֙ שֵׁ֣שׁ מֵא֔וֹת וְצֹ֖אן שְׁלֹ֥שֶׁת אֲלָפִֽים׃

וְֽתִגְזַר־ א֖וֹמֶר וְיָ֣קָם לָ֑ךְ וְעַל־ דְּ֝רָכֶ֗יךָ נָ֣גַֽהּ אֽוֹר׃

וַתִּשְׁקֹ֖ט מַלְכ֣וּת יְהוֹשָׁפָ֑ט וַיָּ֧נַֽח ל֦וֹ אֱלֹהָ֖יו מִסָּבִֽיב׃

הֵן־ תֹּחַלְתּ֥וֹ נִכְזָ֑בָה הֲגַ֖ם אֶל־ מַרְאָ֣יו יֻטָֽל׃

Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself? because he saith, Whither I go, ye cannot come.

I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed.

Their pillars were twenty, and their brasen sockets twenty; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets were of silver.

Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal?

Then said he unto me, Son of man, these are the men that devise mischief, and give wicked counsel in this city:

Cursed be he that setteth light by his father or his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Wealth maketh many friends; but the poor is separated from his neighbour.

tvam agne suhavo raNvasaMdRk sudiitii suuno sahaso didiihi

athaa yuvaam id ahvayat puraMdhir aagachataM siiM vRSaNaav avobhiH

Woe unto you! for ye build the sepulchres of the prophets, and your fathers killed them.

sa vahniH putraH pitroH pavitravaan punaati dhiiro bhuvanaani maayayaa

Νῦν ἡ ψυχή μου τετάρακται, καὶ τί εἴπω; πάτερ, σῶσόν με ἐκ τῆς ὥρας ταύτης. ἀλλὰ διὰ τοῦτο ἦλθον εἰς τὴν ὥραν ταύτην.
