וַיִּרְחַ֥ץ פָּנָ֖יו וַיֵּצֵ֑א וַיִּ֨תְאַפַּ֔ק וַיֹּ֖אמֶר שִׂ֥ימוּ לָֽחֶם׃

לְךָ֣ י֭וֹם אַף־ לְךָ֥ לָ֑יְלָה אַתָּ֥ה הֲ֝כִינ֗וֹתָ מָא֥וֹר וָשָֽׁמֶשׁ׃

בֵּ֖ית יַעֲקֹ֑ב לְכ֥וּ וְנֵלְכָ֖ה בְּא֥וֹר יְהוָֽה׃

וְשַׂמְתָּ֤ אֹתוֹ֙ עַל־ פְּתִ֣יל תְּכֵ֔לֶת וְהָיָ֖ה עַל־ הַמִּצְנָ֑פֶת אֶל־ מ֥וּל פְּנֵֽי־ הַמִּצְנֶ֖פֶת יִהְיֶֽה׃

There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:

Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach’s sake and thine often infirmities.

But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away.

He hath taken a bag of money with him, and will come home at the day appointed.

θεοῦ γάρ ἐσμεν συνεργοί· θεοῦ γεώργιον, θεοῦ οἰκοδομή ἐστε.

praasya dhaaraa bRhatiir asRgrann akto gobhiH kalashaaM+ aa vivesha

Declare his glory among the heathen; his marvellous works among all nations.

فَأَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ الطُّوفَانَ وَالْجَرَادَ وَالْقُمَّلَ وَالضَّفَادِعَ وَالدَّمَ آيَاتٍ مُفَصَّلَاتٍ فَاسْتَكْبَرُوا وَكَانُوا قَوْمًا مُجْرِمِينَ

κρεῖττον γὰρ ἀγαθοποιοῦντας, εἰ θέλοι τὸ θέλημα τοῦ θεοῦ, πάσχειν ἢ κακοποιοῦντας.

καὶ ἐξωμολόγησεν, καὶ ἐζήτει εὐκαιρίαν τοῦ παραδοῦναι αὐτὸν ⸂ἄτερ ὄχλου αὐτοῖς⸃.

tvaM shardhaaya mahinaa gRNaana uru kRdhi maghava~n chagdhi raayaH
