וַיִּתְּנ֣וּ בְּבָרוּתִ֣י רֹ֑אשׁ וְ֝לִצְמָאִ֗י יַשְׁק֥וּנִי חֹֽמֶץ׃

וְק֥וֹץ וְדַרְדַּ֖ר תַּצְמִ֣יחַֽ לָ֑ךְ וְאָכַלְתָּ֖ אֶת־ עֵ֥שֶׂב הַשָּׂדֶֽה׃

Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;

vidad gavyaM saramaa dRLham uurvaM yenaa nu kam maanuSii bhojate viT

ghRtam agner vadhryashvasya vardhanaM ghRtam annaM ghRtam v asya medanam

asme pra yandhi maghavann RjiiSinn indra raayo vishvavaarasya bhuureH

agne rayim maghavadbhyo na aa vaha havyadaatiM ca suudaya

The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

His lightnings enlightened the world: the earth saw, and trembled.

ἐπεὶ οὖν ἀπολείπεται τινὰς εἰσελθεῖν εἰς αὐτήν, καὶ οἱ πρότερον εὐαγγελισθέντες οὐκ εἰσῆλθον διʼ ἀπείθειαν,

rathaanaaM na ye\ .araaH sanaabhayo jigiivaaMso na shuuraa abhidyavaH

And they shall not sell of it, neither exchange, nor alienate the firstfruits of the land: for it is holy unto the LORD.

puSTir na raNvaa kSitir na pRthvii girir na bhujma kSodo na shambhu

ghRtena paaNii abhi pruSNute makho yuvaa sudakSo rajaso vidharmaNi

(And when they heard that he spake in the Hebrew tongue to them, they kept the more silence: and he saith,)

ἐν τῷ λέγεσθαι· Σήμερον ἐὰν τῆς φωνῆς αὐτοῦ ἀκούσητε, Μὴ σκληρύνητε τὰς καρδίας ὑμῶν ὡς ἐν τῷ παραπικρασμῷ.
