וַיֻּגַּ֥ד לְלָבָ֖ן בַּיּ֣וֹם הַשְּׁלִישִׁ֑י כִּ֥י בָרַ֖ח יַעֲקֹֽב׃

אָר֕וּר מַכֵּ֥ה רֵעֵ֖הוּ בַּסָּ֑תֶר וְאָמַ֥ר כָּל־ הָעָ֖ם אָמֵֽן׃

מִזְמ֥וֹר לְדָוִ֑ד בִּ֝הְיוֹת֗וֹ בְּמִדְבַּ֥ר יְהוּדָֽה׃

וִהְיִ֥יתֶם לִ֖י לְעָ֑ם וְאָ֣נֹכִ֔י אֶהְיֶ֥ה לָכֶ֖ם לֵאלֹהִֽים׃

וַיֹּאמְר֥וּ כָֽל־ הַקָּהָ֖ל לַעֲשׂ֣וֹת כֵּ֑ן כִּֽי־ יָשַׁ֥ר הַדָּבָ֖ר בְּעֵינֵ֥י כָל־ הָעָֽם׃

Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: and as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,

agne yahvasya tava bhaagadheyaM na pra minanti vidatheSu dhiiraaH

ava girer daasaM shambaraM han praavo divodaasaM citraabhir uutii

Then Samuel went to Ramah; and Saul went up to his house to Gibeah of Saul.

By reason of the voice of my groaning my bones cleave to my skin.

maaham maghono varuNa priyasya bhuuridaavna aa vidaM shuunam aapeH

For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.

καὶ ὁ τρίτος ἔλαβεν ⸀αὐτήν, ὡσαύτως δὲ καὶ οἱ ἑπτὰ οὐ κατέλιπον τέκνα καὶ ἀπέθανον·

Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.

وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَقُولُ رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ

maaham maghono varuNa priyasya bhuuridaavna aa vidaM shuunam aapeH
