כָּל־ נֶ֖פֶשׁ אֲשֶׁר־ תֹּאכַ֣ל כָּל־ דָּ֑ם וְנִכְרְתָ֛ה הַנֶּ֥פֶשׁ הַהִ֖וא מֵֽעַמֶּֽיהָ׃

אֲשֶׁ֣ר עַל־ כֵּ֭ן סָ֣רוּ מֵֽאַחֲרָ֑יו וְכָל־ דְּ֝רָכָ֗יו לֹ֣א הִשְׂכִּֽילוּ׃

לִיר֣וֹת בַּמִּסְתָּרִ֣ים תָּ֑ם פִּתְאֹ֥ם יֹ֝רֻ֗הוּ וְלֹ֣א יִירָֽאוּ׃

וַחֲמִשָּׁ֣ה בְרִיחִ֔ם לְקַרְשֵׁ֥י צֶֽלַע־ הַמִּשְׁכָּ֖ן הַשֵּׁנִ֑ית וַחֲמִשָּׁ֣ה בְרִיחִ֗ם לְקַרְשֵׁי֙ צֶ֣לַע הַמִּשְׁכָּ֔ן לַיַּרְכָתַ֖יִם יָֽמָּה׃

וְהָיָ֕ה בְּעֽ͏ַנְנִ֥י עָנָ֖ן עַל־ הָאָ֑רֶץ וְנִרְאֲתָ֥ה הַקֶּ֖שֶׁת בֶּעָנָֽן׃

כִּֽי־ יָ֭דַע דֶּ֣רֶךְ עִמָּדִ֑י בְּ֝חָנַ֗נִי כַּזָּהָ֥ב אֵצֵֽא׃

הַ֥לְלוּ יָ֨הּ ׀ הַֽ֭לְלוּ אֶת־ שֵׁ֣ם יְהוָ֑ה הֽ͏ַ֝לְלוּ עַבְדֵ֥י יְהוָֽה׃

וּזְרֹע֥וֹת הַשֶּׁ֛טֶף יִשָּׁטְפ֥וּ מִלְּפָנָ֖יו וְיִשָּׁבֵ֑רוּ וְגַ֖ם נְגִ֥יד בְּרִֽית׃

הַ֥לְלוּ יָ֨הּ ׀ הַ֭לְלוּ עַבְדֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה הֽ͏ַ֝לְלוּ אֶת־ שֵׁ֥ם יְהוָֽה׃

The way of an eagle in the air; the way of a serpent upon a rock; the way of a ship in the midst of the sea; and the way of a man with a maid.

Behold, the princes of Israel, every one were in thee to their power to shed blood.

فَأَخَذْنَاهُ وَجُنُودَهُ فَنَبَذْنَاهُمْ فِي الْيَمِّ فَانْظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الظَّالِمِينَ

And Azariah begat Amariah, and Amariah begat Ahitub,

Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?

And we being exceedingly tossed with a tempest, the next day they lightened the ship;

yo asya shuSmam muhukair iyarti vaato na juuta stanayadbhir abhraiH

For the bed is shorter than that a man can stretch himself on it: and the covering narrower than that he can wrap himself in it.

فَسِيحُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّكُمْ غَيْرُ مُعْجِزِي اللَّهِ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ مُخْزِي الْكَافِرِينَ

But the word of God came unto Shemaiah the man of God, saying,

For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

Yet all this availeth me nothing, so long as I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the king’s gate.

φοβερὰ δέ τις ἐκδοχὴ κρίσεως καὶ πυρὸς ζῆλος ἐσθίειν μέλλοντος τοὺς ὑπεναντίους.

And he said unto Moses, I thy father in law Jethro am come unto thee, and thy wife, and her two sons with her.

And he burnt the bones of the priests upon their altars, and cleansed Judah and Jerusalem.
