וְשַׂמְתָּ֣ שָׁ֔ם אֵ֖ת אֲר֣וֹן הָעֵד֑וּת וְסַכֹּתָ֥ עַל־ הָאָרֹ֖ן אֶת־ הַפָּרֹֽכֶת׃

וַיִּהְי֕וּ הַמֵּתִ֖ים בַּמַּגֵּפָ֑ה אַרְבָּעָ֥ה וְעֶשְׂרִ֖ים אָֽלֶף׃

וַתְּפוּצֶ֖ינָה מִבְּלִ֣י רֹעֶ֑ה וַתִּהְיֶ֧ינָה לְאָכְלָ֛ה לְכָל־ חַיַּ֥ת הַשָּׂדֶ֖ה וַתְּפוּצֶֽינָה׃

וַיַּ֨עַשׂ הַמֶּ֤לֶךְ רְחַבְעָם֙ תַּחְתָּ֔ם מָגִנֵּ֖י נְחֹ֑שֶׁת וְהִפְקִ֗יד עַל־ יַד֙ שָׂרֵ֣י הָרָצִ֔ים הַשֹּׁ֣מְרִ֔ים פֶּ֖תַח בֵּ֥ית הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃

sadyash cid yaa duduhe bhuuri dhaaser indras tad agniH panitaaro asyaaH

And Laban called it Jegarsahadutha: but Jacob called it Galeed.

Thus cleansed I them from all strangers, and appointed the wards of the priests and the Levites, every one in his business;

viiLu cid aarujatnubhir guhaa cid indra vahnibhiH

Let these sayings sink down into your ears: for the Son of man shall be delivered into the hands of men.

وَمَا نُرِيهِمْ مِنْ آيَةٍ إِلَّا هِيَ أَكْبَرُ مِنْ أُخْتِهَا وَأَخَذْنَاهُمْ بِالْعَذَابِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ

sahasram Rkvaa pathibhir vacovid adhvasmabhiH suuro aNvaM vi yaati

gaavo dhenavo barhiSy adabdhaa aa yat sadmaanaM divyaM vivaasaan

मदनुग्रहाय परमं गुह्यमध्यात्मसंज्ञितम् । यत्त्वयोक्तं वचस्तेन मोहोऽयं विगतो मम

ubhaa naasatyaa rudro adha gnaaH puuSaa bhagaH sarasvatii juSanta

Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.

And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you;

And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.
