Then there arose a question between some of John’s disciples and the Jews about purifying.

وَإِذْ قَالَ لُقْمَانُ لِابْنِهِ وَهُوَ يَعِظُهُ يَا بُنَيَّ لَا تُشْرِكْ بِاللَّهِ إِنَّ الشِّرْكَ لَظُلْمٌ عَظِيمٌ

Καὶ ὁ λαλῶν μετʼ ἐμοῦ εἶχεν μέτρον κάλαμον χρυσοῦν, ἵνα μετρήσῃ τὴν πόλιν καὶ τοὺς πυλῶνας αὐτῆς καὶ τὸ τεῖχος αὐτῆς.

aad it pashcaa bubudhaanaa vy a\khyann aad id ratnaM dhaarayanta dyubhaktam

dhanvan srotaH kRNute gaatum uurmiM shukrair uurmibhir abhi nakSati kSaam

bhadraa dadRkSa urviyaa vi bhaasy ut te shocir bhaanavo dyaam apaptan

brahmadviSo viSvag eno bharerata tad devaanaam avo adyaa vRNiimahe

ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν, ὃς ⸀ἂν μὴ δέξηται τὴν βασιλείαν τοῦ θεοῦ ὡς παιδίον, οὐ μὴ εἰσέλθῃ εἰς αὐτήν.

Ἔστιν ⸀παιδάριον ὧδε ⸀ὃς ἔχει πέντε ἄρτους κριθίνους καὶ δύο ὀψάρια· ἀλλὰ ταῦτα τί ἐστιν εἰς τοσούτους;

Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, all evil speakings,

And he went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought;

This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it.

To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.

sutaM somaM na hastibhir aa paDbhir dhaavataM naraa bibhrataav arcanaanasam

And there they were with David three days, eating and drinking: for their brethren had prepared for them.

And command them to say unto their masters, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Thus shall ye say unto your masters;

ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν, ὃς ⸀ἂν μὴ δέξηται τὴν βασιλείαν τοῦ θεοῦ ὡς παιδίον, οὐ μὴ εἰσέλθῃ εἰς αὐτήν.

And he set the bread in order upon it before the LORD; as the LORD had commanded Moses.
