לִפְעֻלּ֣וֹת אָ֭דָם בִּדְבַ֣ר שְׂפָתֶ֑יךָ אֲנִ֥י שָׁ֝מַ֗רְתִּי אָרְח֥וֹת פָּרִֽיץ׃

הַכְּסִיל֙ חֹבֵ֣ק אֶת־ יָדָ֔יו וְאֹכֵ֖ל אֶת־ בְּשָׂרֽוֹ׃

אִם־ אַ֭תָּה תְּשַׁחֵ֣ר אֶל־ אֵ֑ל וְאֶל־ שַׁ֝דַּ֗י תִּתְחַנָּֽן׃

וְיִֽתֶּן־ לְךָ֙ הָאֱלֹהִ֔ים מִטַּל֙ הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם וּמִשְׁמַנֵּ֖י הָאָ֑רֶץ וְרֹ֥ב דָּגָ֖ן וְתִירֹֽשׁ׃

רִֽ֭יבְךָ רִ֣יב אֶת־ רֵעֶ֑ךָ וְס֖וֹד אַחֵ֣ר אַל־ תְּגָֽל׃

And Moses said unto the judges of Israel, Slay ye every one his men that were joined unto Baalpeor.

ὁ λέγων μὴ μοιχεύειν μοιχεύεις; ὁ βδελυσσόμενος τὰ εἴδωλα ἱεροσυλεῖς;

Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.
