וַיַּֽעֲשׂוּ־ כֵן֙ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וַיִּתֵּ֨ן לָהֶ֥ם יוֹסֵ֛ף עֲגָל֖וֹת עַל־ פִּ֣י פַרְעֹ֑ה וַיִּתֵּ֥ן לָהֶ֛ם צֵדָ֖ה לַדָּֽרֶךְ׃

הֲלֹא־ הֵ֣ם י֭וֹרוּךָ יֹ֣אמְרוּ לָ֑ךְ וּ֝מִלִּבָּ֗ם יוֹצִ֥אוּ מִלִּֽים׃

Καὶ ἀπῆλθεν πάλιν πέραν τοῦ Ἰορδάνου εἰς τὸν τόπον ὅπου ἦν Ἰωάννης τὸ πρῶτον βαπτίζων, καὶ ἔμεινεν ἐκεῖ.

Nevertheless divers of Asher and Manasseh and of Zebulun humbled themselves, and came to Jerusalem.

καὶ νῦν ἐρωτῶ σε, κυρία, οὐχ ὡς ἐντολὴν ⸂καινὴν γράφων σοι⸃ ἀλλὰ ἣν εἴχομεν ἀπʼ ἀρχῆς, ἵνα ἀγαπῶμεν ἀλλήλους.

hiraNyayebhiH pavibhiH payovRdha ujjighnanta aapathyo\ na parvataan

The lion hath roared, who will not fear? the Lord GOD hath spoken, who can but prophesy?

Say not thou, What is the cause that the former days were better than these? for thou dost not enquire wisely concerning this.

gnaa vasaana oSadhiir amRdhras tridhaatushR~Ngo vRSabho vayodhaaH

And the men said unto her, We will be blameless of this thine oath which thou hast made us swear.

ἐλπίδα ἔχων εἰς τὸν θεόν, ἣν καὶ αὐτοὶ οὗτοι προσδέχονται, ἀνάστασιν μέλλειν ⸀ἔσεσθαι δικαίων τε καὶ ἀδίκων·

And Isaac said unto Jacob, Come near, I pray thee, that I may feel thee, my son, whether thou be my very son Esau or not.

My desire is that Job may be tried unto the end because of his answers for wicked men.

For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:

For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

τίς ⸂δέ ἐστιν⸃ ὁ νικῶν τὸν κόσμον εἰ μὴ ὁ πιστεύων ὅτι Ἰησοῦς ἐστιν ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ θεοῦ;

He that is first in his own cause seemeth just; but his neighbour cometh and searcheth him.

Which devour widows’ houses, and for a pretence make long prayers: these shall receive greater damnation.
