לֵ֣ב שָׂ֭מֵחַ יֵיטִ֣ב פָּנִ֑ים וּבְעַצְּבַת־ לֵ֝ב ר֣וּחַ נְכֵאָֽה׃

אִם־ לֹ֤א שִׁוִּ֨יתִי ׀ וְדוֹמַ֗מְתִּי נַ֫פְשִׁ֥י כְּ֭גָמֻל עֲלֵ֣י אִמּ֑וֹ כַּגָּמֻ֖ל עָלַ֣י נַפְשִֽׁי׃

אִם־ יְהַלֵּ֣ךְ אִ֭ישׁ עַל־ הַגֶּחָלִ֑ים וְ֝רַגְלָ֗יו לֹ֣א תִכָּוֶֽינָה׃

וְחִלַּקְתֶּ֞ם אֶת־ הָאָ֧רֶץ הַזֹּ֛את לָכֶ֖ם לְשִׁבְטֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

לֵ֭אמֹר אֱלֹהִ֣ים עֲזָב֑וֹ רִֽדְפ֥וּ וְ֝תִפְשֻׂ֗וּהוּ כִּי־ אֵ֥ין מַצִּֽיל׃

בֶּן־ אָדָ֕ם הוֹדַ֥ע אֶת־ יְרוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם אֶת־ תּוֹעֲבֹתֶֽיהָ׃

הִנֵּ֥ה יַשְׂכִּ֖יל עַבְדִּ֑י יָר֧וּם וְנִשָּׂ֛א וְגָבַ֖הּ מְאֹֽד׃

And as he spake, a certain Pharisee besought him to dine with him: and he went in, and sat down to meat.

yaabhir manuM shuuram iSaa samaavataM taabhir uu Su uutibhir ashvinaa gatam

bRhaspatir mithoavadyapebhir ud usriyaa asRjata svayugbhiH

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:

And Isaiah said, Take a lump of figs. And they took and laid it on the boil, and he recovered.

وَإِنْ يَكَادُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَيُزْلِقُونَكَ بِأَبْصَارِهِمْ لَمَّا سَمِعُوا الذِّكْرَ وَيَقُولُونَ إِنَّهُ لَمَجْنُونٌ

athaa mandasva jujuSaaNo andhasas tvaSTar devebhir janibhiH sumadgaNaH

I have seen the foolish taking root: but suddenly I cursed his habitation.

πῶς δύνασθε ὑμεῖς πιστεῦσαι, δόξαν παρʼ ἀλλήλων λαμβάνοντες, καὶ τὴν δόξαν τὴν παρὰ τοῦ μόνου θεοῦ οὐ ζητεῖτε;

And if he smite him with an instrument of iron, so that he die, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.

παρεκάλεσα Τίτον καὶ συναπέστειλα τὸν ἀδελφόν· μήτι ἐπλεονέκτησεν ὑμᾶς Τίτος; οὐ τῷ αὐτῷ πνεύματι περιεπατήσαμεν; οὐ τοῖς αὐτοῖς ἴχνεσιν;

لَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِيهِمْ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ لِمَنْ كَانَ يَرْجُو اللَّهَ وَالْيَوْمَ الْآخِرَ وَمَنْ يَتَوَلَّ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْغَنِيُّ الْحَمِيدُ

So shall the congregation of the people compass thee about: for their sakes therefore return thou on high.

For in the multitude of dreams and many words there are also divers vanities: but fear thou God.

وَمَنْ أَضَلُّ مِمَّنْ يَدْعُو مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ مَنْ لَا يَسْتَجِيبُ لَهُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ وَهُمْ عَنْ دُعَائِهِمْ غَافِلُونَ

Ἡμεῖς δὲ τὸν πλοῦν διανύσαντες ἀπὸ Τύρου κατηντήσαμεν εἰς Πτολεμαΐδα, καὶ ἀσπασάμενοι τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς ἐμείναμεν ἡμέραν μίαν παρʼ αὐτοῖς.
