כִּֽי־ בְאַחַ֥ת יְדַבֶּר־ אֵ֑ל וּ֝בִשְׁתַּ֗יִם לֹ֣א יְשׁוּרֶֽנָּה׃

כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֖ר יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהָ֑י רְעֵ֖ה אֶת־ צֹ֥אן הַהֲרֵגָֽה׃

עַל־ מָ֭ה אֲדָנֶ֣יהָ הָטְבָּ֑עוּ א֥וֹ מִֽי־ יָ֝רָ֗ה אֶ֣בֶן פִּנָּתָֽהּ׃

וַיַּ֥עַשׂ לָהֶ֖ם כֵּ֑ן וַיַּצֵּ֥ל אוֹתָ֛ם מִיַּ֥ד בְּנֵֽי־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל וְלֹ֥א הֲרָגֽוּם׃

And when I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein;

And my master made me swear, saying, Thou shalt not take a wife to my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, in whose land I dwell:

Take him, and look well to him, and do him no harm; but do unto him even as he shall say unto thee.

So Joshua ascended from Gilgal, he, and all the people of war with him, and all the mighty men of valour.

I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.

For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform.

For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

And he that toucheth the flesh of him that hath the issue shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.
