וַיְהִי֙ דְּבַר־ יְהוָ֔ה אֶל־ שְׁמַֽעְיָ֥הוּ אִישׁ־ הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים לֵאמֹֽר׃

כִּ֣י אֵ֤ין עֵינֶ֙יךָ֙ וְלִבְּךָ֔ כִּ֖י אִם־ עַל־ בִּצְעֶ֑ךָ וְעַ֤ל דַּֽם־ הַנָּקִי֙ לִשְׁפּ֔וֹךְ וְעַל־ הָעֹ֥שֶׁק וְעַל־ הַמְּרוּצָ֖ה לַעֲשֽׂוֹת׃

כִּ֤י כַבֶּ֙גֶד֙ יֹאכְלֵ֣ם עָ֔שׁ וְכַצֶּ֖מֶר יֹאכְלֵ֣ם סָ֑ס וְצִדְקָתִי֙ לְעוֹלָ֣ם תִּֽהְיֶ֔ה וִישׁוּעָתִ֖י לְד֥וֹר דּוֹרִֽים׃

כֹּ֚ל הַנִּקְרָ֣א בִשְׁמִ֔י וְלִכְבוֹדִ֖י בְּרָאתִ֑יו יְצַרְתִּ֖יו אַף־ עֲשִׂיתִֽיו׃

וַֽיִּפְּלוּ֙ מִבִּנְיָמִ֔ן שְׁמֹנָֽה־ עָשָׂ֥ר אֶ֖לֶף אִ֑ישׁ אֶת־ כָּל־ אֵ֖לֶּה אַנְשֵׁי־ חָֽיִל׃

עֶרְוַ֥ת כַּלָּֽתְךָ֖ לֹ֣א תְגַלֵּ֑ה אֵ֤שֶׁת בִּנְךָ֙ הִ֔וא לֹ֥א תְגַלֶּ֖ה עֶרְוָתָֽהּ׃

For I will lay the land most desolate, and the pomp of her strength shall cease; and the mountains of Israel shall be desolate, that none shall pass through.
