וַיִּלָּ֣חֶם יוֹאָ֔ב בְּרַבַּ֖ת בְּנֵ֣י עַמּ֑וֹן וַיִּלְכֹּ֖ד אֶת־ עִ֥יר הַמְּלוּכָֽה׃

שָׁרְרֵךְ֙ אַגַּ֣ן הַסַּ֔הַר אַל־ יֶחְסַ֖ר הַמָּ֑זֶג בִּטְנֵךְ֙ עֲרֵמַ֣ת חִטִּ֔ים סוּגָ֖ה בַּשּׁוֹשַׁנִּֽים׃

וְכָל־ מַעְשַׂ֤ר בָּקָר֙ וָצֹ֔אן כֹּ֥ל אֲשֶׁר־ יַעֲבֹ֖ר תַּ֣חַת הַשָּׁ֑בֶט הֽ͏ָעֲשִׂירִ֕י יִֽהְיֶה־ קֹּ֖דֶשׁ לַֽיהוָֽה׃

וַיִּשְׁמַ֗ע זְבֻל֙ שַׂר־ הָעִ֔יר אֶת־ דִּבְרֵ֖י גַּ֣עַל בֶּן־ עָ֑בֶד וַיִּ֖חַר אַפּֽוֹ׃

That this may be a sign among you, that when your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean ye by these stones?

They shall teach Jacob thy judgments, and Israel thy law: they shall put incense before thee, and whole burnt sacrifice upon thine altar.

And the Levites were purified, and they washed their clothes; and Aaron offered them as an offering before the LORD; and Aaron made an atonement for them to cleanse them.
