אֶפְרַ֙יִם֙ לְשַׁמָּ֣ה תִֽהְיֶ֔ה בְּי֖וֹם תּֽוֹכֵחָ֑ה בְּשִׁבְטֵי֙ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל הוֹדַ֖עְתִּי נֶאֱמָנָֽה׃

וֶֽאֱלִיה֗וּ חִכָּ֣ה אֶת־ אִ֭יּוֹב בִּדְבָרִ֑ים כִּ֤י זְֽקֵנִים־ הֵ֖מָּה מִמֶּ֣נּוּ לְיָמִֽים׃

וּמוֹלַדְתְּךָ֛ אֲשֶׁר־ הוֹלַ֥דְתָּ אַחֲרֵיהֶ֖ם לְךָ֣ יִהְי֑וּ עַ֣ל שֵׁ֧ם אֲחֵיהֶ֛ם יִקָּרְא֖וּ בְּנַחֲלָתָֽם׃

וִיהוֹשֻׁ֣עַ בִּן־ נ֗וּן וְכָלֵב֙ בֶּן־ יְפֻנֶּ֔ה מִן־ הַתָּרִ֖ים אֶת־ הָאָ֑רֶץ קָרְע֖וּ בִּגְדֵיהֶֽם׃

וּמִכַּ֤ף מֶֽלֶךְ־ אַשּׁוּר֙ אַצִּ֣ילְךָ֔ וְאֵ֖ת הָעִ֣יר הַזֹּ֑את וְגַנּוֹתִ֖י עַל־ הָעִ֥יר הַזֹּֽאת׃

וַיֹּ֤אמֶר לִי֙ הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ עַל־ מַה־ זֶּ֖ה אַתָּ֣ה מְבַקֵּ֑שׁ וָֽאֶתְפַּלֵּ֔ל אֶל־ אֱלֹהֵ֖י הַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃

וַ֭יֹּ֣אמְרוּ לֹ֣א יִרְאֶה־ יָּ֑הּ וְלֹא־ יָ֝בִ֗ין אֱלֹהֵ֥י יַעֲקֹֽב׃

וַיִּשָּׂ֤א פָנָיו֙ אֶל־ הַ֣חַלּ֔וֹן וַיֹּ֕אמֶר מִ֥י אִתִּ֖י מִ֑י וַיַּשְׁקִ֣יפוּ אֵלָ֔יו שְׁנַ֥יִם שְׁלֹשָׁ֖ה סָרִיסִֽים׃

וְהַנַּ֖עַר לֹֽא־ יָדַ֣ע מְא֑וּמָה אַ֤ךְ יְהֽוֹנָתָן֙ וְדָוִ֔ד יָדְע֖וּ אֶת־ הַדָּבָֽר׃

And he said, The LORD will roar from Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the habitations of the shepherds shall mourn, and the top of Carmel shall wither.

He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

οἱ γὰρ Φαρισαῖοι καὶ πάντες οἱ Ἰουδαῖοι ἐὰν μὴ πυγμῇ νίψωνται τὰς χεῖρας οὐκ ἐσθίουσιν, κρατοῦντες τὴν παράδοσιν τῶν πρεσβυτέρων,

And the wild asses did stand in the high places, they snuffed up the wind like dragons; their eyes did fail, because there was no grass.

καὶ κατέβη ἡ βροχὴ καὶ ἦλθον οἱ ποταμοὶ καὶ ἔπνευσαν οἱ ἄνεμοι καὶ προσέκοψαν τῇ οἰκίᾳ ἐκείνῃ, καὶ ἔπεσεν, καὶ ἦν ἡ πτῶσις αὐτῆς μεγάλη.

Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.
