יַרְעֵ֥ם מִן־ שָׁמַ֖יִם יְהוָ֑ה וְעֶלְי֖וֹן יִתֵּ֥ן קוֹלֽוֹ׃

וְכֹ֨ל אֲשֶׁ֧ר לֹֽא־ יִדְרֹ֛שׁ לַיהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵֽי־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל יוּמָ֑ת לְמִן־ קָטֹן֙ וְעַד־ גָּד֔וֹל לְמֵאִ֖ישׁ וְעַד־ אִשָּֽׁה׃

וַיְבַקֵּ֥שׁ דָּוִ֛ד אֶת־ הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים בְּעַ֣ד הַנָּ֑עַר וַיָּ֤צָם דָּוִד֙ צ֔וֹם וּבָ֥א וְלָ֖ן וְשָׁכַ֥ב אָֽרְצָה׃

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר לָהֶ֗ן רֹאֶ֤ה אָנֹכִי֙ אֶת־ פְּנֵ֣י אֲבִיכֶ֔ן כִּֽי־ אֵינֶ֥נּוּ אֵלַ֖י כִּתְמֹ֣ל שִׁלְשֹׁ֑ם וֽ͏ֵאלֹהֵ֣י אָבִ֔י הָיָ֖ה עִמָּדִֽי׃

שָׁמַ֙עְתִּי֙ חֶרְפַּ֣ת מוֹאָ֔ב וְגִדּוּפֵ֖י בְּנֵ֣י עַמּ֑וֹן אֲשֶׁ֤ר חֵֽרְפוּ֙ אֶת־ עַמִּ֔י וַיַּגְדִּ֖ילוּ עַל־ גְּבוּלָֽם׃

μύθων τε ῥητῆρʼ ἔμεναι πρηκτῆρά τε ἔργων.
