וְהָכִ֥ונוּ לְבֵית־ אֲבוֹתֵיכֶ֖ם כְּמַחְלְקוֹתֵיכֶ֑ם בִּכְתָ֗ב דָּוִיד֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וּבְמִכְתַּ֖ב שְׁלֹמֹ֥ה בְנֽוֹ׃

וְאֶת־ הַדָּבָ֥ר הַזֶּ֖ה עֲשֵׂ֑ה הָסֵ֤ר הַמְּלָכִים֙ אִ֣ישׁ מִמְּקֹמ֔וֹ וְשִׂ֥ים פַּח֖וֹת תַּחְתֵּיהֶֽם׃

וַיִּזָּעֲק֗וּ כָּל־ הָעָם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בעיר בָּעַ֔י לִרְדֹּ֖ף אַחֲרֵיהֶ֑ם וַֽיִּרְדְּפוּ֙ אַחֲרֵ֣י יְהוֹשֻׁ֔עַ וַיִּנָּתְק֖וּ מִן־ הָעִֽיר׃

Some remove the landmarks; they violently take away flocks, and feed thereof.

aare baadhethaaM nirRtim paraacair asme bhadraa saushravasaani santu

Or, Deliver me from the enemy’s hand? or, Redeem me from the hand of the mighty?

Come and see the works of God: he is terrible in his doing toward the children of men.

asad yathaa jaritra uta suurir indro raayo vishvavaarasya daataa
