Remove not the old landmark; and enter not into the fields of the fatherless:

yuvaM shayor avasam pipyathur gavi pra diirgheNa vandanas taary aayuSaa

tasyed ime pravaNe sapta sindhavo vayo vardhanti vRSabhasya shuSmiNaH

aa te pitar marutaaM sumnam etu maa naH suuryasya saMdRsho yuyothaaH

yo me giras tuvijaatasya puurviir yuktenaabhi trya\ruNo gRNaati

Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob;

aad asya te kRSNaaso dakSi suurayaH shuurasyeva tveSathaad iiSate vayaH

mahi psaraH sukRtaM somyam madhuurvii gavyuutir aditer RtaM yate

But he shall not defile himself, being a chief man among his people, to profane himself.

pra yat pituH paramaan niiyate pary aa pRkSudho viirudho daMsu rohati

And Jehoshaphat the king of Judah returned to his house in peace to Jerusalem.

dhaayobhir vaa yo yujyebhir arkair vidyun na davidyot svebhiH shuSmaiH

imaa giro ashvinaa yuSmayantiiH kSNotreNeva svadhitiM saM shishiitam

prasarsraaNo anu barhir vRSaa shishur madhye yuvaajaro visruhaa hitaH

I counsel thee to keep the king’s commandment, and that in regard of the oath of God.

vi rocataam aruSo bhaanunaa shuciH sva\r Na shukraM shushuciita satpatiH

Then an herald cried aloud, To you it is commanded, O people, nations, and languages,

σὺ δὲ νηστεύων ἄλειψαί σου τὴν κεφαλὴν καὶ τὸ πρόσωπόν σου νίψαι,

εἰ δὲ ἀπεθάνομεν σὺν Χριστῷ, πιστεύομεν ὅτι καὶ συζήσομεν αὐτῷ·

ה֗וֹי הֲמוֹן֙ עַמִּ֣ים רַבִּ֔ים כַּהֲמ֥וֹת יַמִּ֖ים יֶהֱמָי֑וּן וּשְׁא֣וֹן לְאֻמִּ֔ים כִּשְׁא֛וֹן מַ֥יִם כַּבִּירִ֖ים יִשָּׁאֽוּן׃

וּפֶ֤טֶר חֲמוֹר֙ תִּפְדֶּ֣ה בְשֶׂ֔ה וְאִם־ לֹ֥א תִפְדֶּ֖ה וַעֲרַפְתּ֑וֹ כֹּ֣ל בְּכ֤וֹר בָּנֶ֙יךָ֙ תִּפְדֶּ֔ה וְלֹֽא־ יֵרָא֥וּ פָנַ֖י רֵיקָֽם׃

וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֵלָ֗יו יְהוָ֞ה אֱלֹהֵ֤י הָעִבְרִים֙ שְׁלָחַ֤נִי אֵלֶ֙יךָ֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר שַׁלַּח֙ אֶת־ עַמִּ֔י וְיַֽעַבְדֻ֖נִי בַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר וְהִנֵּ֥ה לֹא־ שָׁמַ֖עְתָּ עַד־ כֹּֽה׃

וּבָעִתִּ֣ים הָהֵ֔ם רַבִּ֥ים יַֽעַמְד֖וּ עַל־ מֶ֣לֶךְ הַנֶּ֑גֶב וּבְנֵ֣י ׀ פָּרִיצֵ֣י עַמְּךָ֗ יִֽנַּשְּׂא֛וּ לְהַעֲמִ֥יד חָז֖וֹן וְנִכְשָֽׁלוּ׃
