And the Philistines took the ark of God, and brought it from Ebenezer unto Ashdod.

dhanvan srotaH kRNute gaatum uurmiM shukrair uurmibhir abhi nakSati kSaam

vRNak pipruM shambaraM shuSNam indraH puraaM cyautnaaya shayathaaya nuu cit

Be silent, O all flesh, before the LORD: for he is raised up out of his holy habitation.

Then came to him his mother and his brethren, and could not come at him for the press.

He coveteth greedily all the day long: but the righteous giveth and spareth not.

He shall order the lamps upon the pure candlestick before the LORD continually.

The poor and the deceitful man meet together: the LORD lighteneth both their eyes.

avindad divo nihitaM guhaa nidhiM ver na garbham pariviitam ashmany anante antar ashmani

Over against the border shall the rings be for places of the staves to bear the table.

And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues,

רַ֠ק חֲטָאֵ֞י יָרָבְעָ֤ם בֶּן־ נְבָט֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר הֶחֱטִ֣יא אֶת־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל לֹֽא־ סָ֥ר יֵה֖וּא מֵאַֽחֲרֵיהֶ֑ם עֶגְלֵי֙ הַזָּהָ֔ב אֲשֶׁ֥ר בֵּֽית־ אֵ֖ל וַאֲשֶׁ֥ר בְּדָֽן׃

כִּ֣י כֹ֤ה אָמַר֙ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת ע֥וֹד אַחַ֖ת מְעַ֣ט הִ֑יא וַאֲנִ֗י מַרְעִישׁ֙ אֶת־ הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם וְאֶת־ הָאָ֔רֶץ וְאֶת־ הַיָּ֖ם וְאֶת־ הֶחָרָבָֽה׃

וְלֹא־ הֶאֱמִ֨ין סִיח֤וֹן אֶת־ יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ עֲבֹ֣ר בִּגְבֻל֔וֹ וַיֶּאֱסֹ֤ף סִיחוֹן֙ אֶת־ כָּל־ עַמּ֔וֹ וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בְּיָ֑הְצָה וַיִלָּ֖חֶם עִם־ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

כֵּ֗ן בְּנ֣וֹת צְלָפְחָד֮ דֹּבְרֹת֒ נָתֹ֨ן תִּתֵּ֤ן לָהֶם֙ אֲחֻזַּ֣ת נַחֲלָ֔ה בְּת֖וֹךְ אֲחֵ֣י אֲבִיהֶ֑ם וְהַֽעֲבַרְתָּ֛ אֶת־ נַחֲלַ֥ת אֲבִיהֶ֖ן לָהֶֽן׃

पञ्चैतानि महाबाहो कारणानि निबोध मे । साङ्ख्ये कृतान्ते प्रोक्तानि सिद्धये सर्वकर्मणाम्

וַיִּשְׂנָאֶ֣הָ אַמְנ֗וֹן שִׂנְאָה֙ גְּדוֹלָ֣ה מְאֹ֔ד כִּ֣י גְדוֹלָ֗ה הַשִּׂנְאָה֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר שְׂנֵאָ֔הּ מֵאַהֲבָ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר אֲהֵבָ֑הּ וַֽיֹּאמֶר־ לָ֥הּ אַמְנ֖וֹן ק֥וּמִי לֵֽכִי׃

וַיַּ֜עַל כָּל־ אִ֤ישׁ יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ מֵאַחֲרֵ֣י דָוִ֔ד אַחֲרֵ֖י שֶׁ֣בַע בֶּן־ בִּכְרִ֑י וְאִ֤ישׁ יְהוּדָה֙ דָּבְק֣וּ בְמַלְכָּ֔ם מִן־ הַיַּרְדֵּ֖ן וְעַד־ יְרוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃

וַאֲנִ֣י דָנִיֵּ֗אל נִהְיֵ֤יתִי וְנֽ͏ֶחֱלֵ֙יתִי֙ יָמִ֔ים וָאָק֕וּם וָאֶֽעֱשֶׂ֖ה אֶת־ מְלֶ֣אכֶת הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ וָאֶשְׁתּוֹמֵ֥ם עַל־ הַמַּרְאֶ֖ה וְאֵ֥ין מֵבִֽין׃

הִנֵּ֤ה כַנֶּ֙שֶׁר֙ יַעֲלֶ֣ה וְיִדְאֶ֔ה וְיִפְרֹ֥שׂ כְּנָפָ֖יו עַל־ בָּצְרָ֑ה וְֽ֠הָיָה לֵ֞ב גִּבּוֹרֵ֤י אֱדוֹם֙ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֔וּא כְּלֵ֖ב אִשָּׁ֥ה מְצֵרָֽה׃

בְּהַרְאֹת֗וֹ אֶת־ עֹ֙שֶׁר֙ כְּב֣וֹד מַלְכוּת֔וֹ וְאֶ֨ת־ יְקָ֔ר תִּפְאֶ֖רֶת גְּדוּלָּת֑וֹ יָמִ֣ים רַבִּ֔ים שְׁמוֹנִ֥ים וּמְאַ֖ת יֽוֹם׃

וְכָרַתִּ֤י לָהֶם֙ בְּרִ֣ית שָׁל֔וֹם וְהִשְׁבַּתִּ֥י חַיָּֽה־ רָעָ֖ה מִן־ הָאָ֑רֶץ וְיָשְׁב֤וּ בַמִּדְבָּר֙ לָבֶ֔טַח וְיָשְׁנ֖וּ בַּיְּעָרִֽים׃
