shyenasya pakSaa hariNasya baahuu upastutyam mahi jaataM te arvan

Thou shalt not muzzle the ox when he treadeth out the corn.

Therefore the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,

I know it is so of a truth: but how should man be just with God?

taM citrayaamaM harikesham iimahe sudiitim agniM suvitaaya navyase

sa devataaty udyataani kRNvan sveSu kSayeSu prathamo jigaati

For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled.

The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.

pra te agne haviSmatiim iyarmy achaa sudyumnaaM raatiniiM ghRtaaciim

ajaa vRta indra shuurapatniir dyaaM ca yebhiH puruhuuta nuunam

vy a\ryamaa varuNash ceti panthaam iSas patiH suvitaM gaatum agniH

arvadbhir vaajam bharate dhanaa nRbhir aapRchyaM kratum aa kSeti puSyati

sam indro raayo bRhatiir adhuunuta saM kSoNii sam u suuryam

tvaam agne prathamam aayum aayave devaa akRNvan nahuSasya vishpatim

indra yac citraM shravasyaa anu dyuun bRhad vadema vidathe suviiraaH

agnir hi vipro juSataaM havir naH pari hetiH pakSiNii no vRNaktu

RSvas tvam indra shuura jaato daasiir vishaH suuryeNa sahyaaH

sa tuutaava nainam ashnoty aMhatir agne sakhye maa riSaamaa vayaM tava

I have not departed from thy judgments: for thou hast taught me.

I am not able to bear all this people alone, because it is too heavy for me.

shagdhi mahaH purushcandrasya raayaH suviiryasya patayaH syaama

I have done judgment and justice: leave me not to mine oppressors.

aa naH puuSaa pavamaanaH suraatayo mitro gachantu varuNaH sajoSasaH

dyutaanaM vo atithiM sva\rNaram agniM hotaaram manuSaH svadhvaram
