yas tvad dhotaa puurvo agne yajiiyaan dvitaa ca sattaa svadhayaa ca shambhuH

yuuyaM na ugraa marutaH sucetunaariSTagraamaaH sumatim pipartana

And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me;

tvaM vRdha indra puurvyo bhuur varivasyann ushane kaavyaaya

divash cit puurvo ny a\saadi hotaapRchyo vishpatir vikSu vedhaaH

puruuNi ratnaa dadhatau ny a\sme anu puurvaaNi cakhyathur yugaani

There they cry, but none giveth answer, because of the pride of evil men.

For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me.

riSTaM na yaamann apa bhuutu durmatir vishvaapa bhuutu durmatiH

aayukSaataam ashvinaa tuutujiM rathaM svasty a\gniM samidhaanam iimahe

Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,

A just weight and balance are the LORD’s: all the weights of the bag are his work.

yam aadityaaso nayathaa suniitibhir ati vishvaani duritaa svastaye

Onyx stones, and stones to be set in the ephod, and in the breastplate.

aviSTo asmaan vishvaasu vikSv adyuM kRNota shaMsaM ninitsoH

They saw it, and so they marvelled; they were troubled, and hasted away.

tvam putro bhavasi yas te .avidhat tvaM sakhaa sushevaH paasy aadhRSaH

pra no vaajaan rathyo\ ashvabudhyaan iSe yandhi shravase suunRtaayai

And all they of the land came to a wood; and there was honey upon the ground.

yadaa cariSNuu mithunaav abhuutaam aad it praapashyan bhuvanaani vishvaa

(Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)

Behold, I go forward, but he is not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive him:

And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great:

For thy servant David’s sake turn not away the face of thine anointed.
