pRshneH putraa upamaaso rabhiSThaaH svayaa matyaa marutaH sam mimikSuH

And they put the fat upon the breasts, and he burnt the fat upon the altar:

The tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.

Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.

taM vRdhantam maarutam bhraajadRSTiM rudrasya suunuM havasaa vivaase

sRkaM saMshaaya pavim indra tigmaM vi shatruun taaLhi vi mRdho nudasva

Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass’s colt.

prati prayaaNam asurasya vidvaan suuktair devaM savitaaraM duvasya

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve,

rushad vasaanaH sudRshiikaruupaH kSitir na raayaa puruvaaro adyaut

And my soul shall be joyful in the LORD: it shall rejoice in his salvation.

He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

shubham pRkSam iSam uurjaM vahantaa hotaa yakSat pratno adhrug yuvaanaa

Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.

Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand;

Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said,

saniiLebhiH shravasyaaaa\ni tuurvan marutvaan no bhavatv indra uutii

Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.
