pRshneH putraa upamaaso rabhiSThaaH svayaa matyaa marutaH sam mimikSuH

hiraNyanirNig ayo asya sthuuNaa vi bhraajate divy a\shvaajaniiva

saa kadriicii kaM svid ardham paraagaat kva\ svit suute nahi yuuthe antaH

Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.

praarNaaMsy airayataM nadiinaam aa samudraaNi paprathuH puruuNi

uto hi vaaM ratnadheyaani santi puruuNi dyaavaapRthivii sudaase

pra vaavRje suprayaa barhir eSaam aa vishpatiiva biiriTa iyaate

pitur napaatam aa dadhiita vedhaa adhi kSami prataraM diidhyaanaH

indra pra tubhyaM vRSabhiH sutaanaaM vRSNe bharanti vRSabhaaya somam

suuryasyeva rashmayo draavayitnavo matsaraasaH prasupaH saakam iirate
