yad in nv ai\ndra pRthivii dashabhujir ahaani vishvaa tatananta kRSTayaH

Which make oil within their walls, and tread their winepresses, and suffer thirst.

If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?

ahaM harii vRSaNaa vivrataa raghuu ahaM vajraM shavase dhRSNv aa dade

ye satyaaso havirado haviSpaa indreNa devaiH sarathaM dadhaanaaH

nRmNaani kRNvan bahave janaaya gaaH paspashaanas taviSiir adhatta

nava pashcaataat sthivimanta aayan dasha praak saanu vi tiranty ashnaH

raghuH shyenaH patayad andho achaa yuvaa kavir diidayad goSu gachan

But he saveth the poor from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hand of the mighty.

devaanaaM sumne subhagaH sa edhate yaM-yaM yujaM kRNute brahmaNas patiH

somo vishvaany atasaa vanaani naarvaag indram pratimaanaani debhuH

And forgetteth that the foot may crush them, or that the wild beast may break them.

tritaaya ca dvitaaya coSo duSvapnyaM vahaanehaso va uutayaH suuutayo va uutayaH

tasya patman dakSuSaH kRSNajaMhasaH shucijanmano raja aa vya\dhvanaH

aa shubhraa yaatam ashvinaa svashvaa giro dasraa jujuSaaNaa yuvaakoH

samudram aasaam ava tasthe agrimaa na riSyati savanaM yasminn aayataa

Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction.

dhartaaro diva RbhavaH suhastaa vaataaparjanyaa mahiSasya tanyatoH

Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.

shuSmebhiH shuSmiNo naro divash cid yeSaam bRhat sukiirtir bodhati tmanaa

matsi shardho maarutam matsi devaan matsi mahaam indram indo madaaya

yuktaa maataasiid dhuri dakSiNaayaa atiSThad garbho vRjaniiSv antaH
