yaabhir dhiyo .avathaH karmann iSTaye taabhir uu Su uutibhir ashvinaa gatam

hirishipro vRdhasaanaasu jarbhurad dyaur na stRbhish citayad rodasii anu

Nevertheless man being in honour abideth not: he is like the beasts that perish.

pra yad vaam madhvo agriyam bharanty adhvaryavo devayantaH shaciibhiH

But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:

bhago vaa gobhir aryamem anajyaat so asmai caarush chadayad uta syaat

aa pakthaaso bhalaanaso bhanantaalinaaso viSaaNinaH shivaasaH

vishve devaaso adha maam arakSan duHshaasur aagaad iti ghoSa aasiit

And all the people came early in the morning to him in the temple, for to hear him.

And he said unto him, Thou knowest how I have served thee, and how thy cattle was with me.

My heart was hot within me, while I was musing the fire burned: then spake I with my tongue,

For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:

sapta yat puraH sharma shaaradiir dard dhan daasiiH purukutsaaya shikSan

Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!

Behold, God will not cast away a perfect man, neither will he help the evil doers:

atyam mRjanti kalashe dasha kSipaH pra vipraaNaam matayo vaaca iirate

sarve nandanti yashasaagatena sabhaasaahena sakhyaa sakhaayaH

supeshasaM vaajam aa bharaa naH praatar makSuu dhiyaavasur jagamyaat

A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall perish.

anaarambhaNe tad aviirayethaam anaasthaane agrabhaNe samudre

yuvor hi sakhyam uta vaa yad aapyam maarDiikam indraavaruNaa ni yachatam

Cursed be he that lieth with his mother in law. And all the people shall say, Amen.

samudrajyeSThaaH salilasya madhyaat punaanaa yanty anivishamaanaaH

yo rohitau vaajinau vaajiniivaan tribhiH shataiH sacamaanaav adiSTa
