mayobhuvaa sarathaa yaatam arvaag gantaM nidhiM dhuram aaNir na naabhim

Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein: and he that rolleth a stone, it will return upon him.

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

apaaM garbhaM darshatam oSadhiinaaM vanaa jajaana subhagaa viruupam

iheha jaataa sam avaavashiitaam arepasaa tanvaaaa\ naamabhiH svaiH

kathaa devaanaaM katamasya yaamani sumantu naama shRNvataam manaamahe

adhaa yo vishvaa bhuvanaabhi majmaneshaanakRt pravayaa abhy avardhata

vivasvataa cakSasaa dyaam apash ca devaa agniM dhaarayan draviNodaam

suurash cid aa harito asya riiramad indraad aa kash cid bhayate taviiyasaH

I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.

kaviM samraajam atithiM janaanaam aasann aa paatraM janayanta devaaH

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Woe unto you that are full! for ye shall hunger. Woe unto you that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep.

uurjaM no dyaush ca pRthivii ca pinvataam pitaa maataa vishvavidaa sudaMsasaa

Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

yo vaaM gartam manasaa takSad etam uurdhvaaM dhiitiM kRNavad dhaarayac ca

kraaNaa yad asya pitaraa maMhaneSThaaH parSat pakthe ahann aa sapta hotRRn
