Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine anger toward us to cease.

nir yad duhre shucayo .anu joSam anu shriyaa tanva\m ukSamaaNaaH

Which commandeth the sun, and it riseth not; and sealeth up the stars.

kiyatii yoSaa maryato vadhuuyoH paripriitaa panyasaa vaaryeNa

ubhe yat te mahinaa shubhre andhasii adhikSiyanti puuravaH

For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

vishve devaa anu tat te yajur gur duhe yad enii divyaM ghRtaM vaaH

vishvaany asmai sudinaani raayo dyumnaany aryo vi duro abhi dyaut

mahe nRmNaaya nRpate suvajra mahi kSatraaya pauMsyaaya shuura

Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

vayaM deveSu sukRtaH syaama sharmaNaa nas trivaruuthena paahi

indraM taM shumbha puruhanmann avase yasya dvitaa vidhartari

And he said unto them, Exact no more than that which is appointed you.

manaanag reto jahatur viyantaa saanau niSiktaM sukRtasya yonau

yasyeme himavanto mahitvaa yasya samudraM rasayaa sahaahuH

devaaso hi Smaa manave samanyavo vishve saakaM saraatayaH

Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more.

hataaso vaam pitaro devashatrava indraagnii jiivatho yuvam

tvaM vishvasya surathasya bodhi sarvaM tad agne amRta svadeha
