catustriMshataa purudhaa vi caSTe saruupeNa jyotiSaa vivratena

kiM nuunam asmaan kRNavad araatiH kim u dhuurtir amRta martyasya

ghRtasya vibhraaSTim anu vaSTi shociSaajuhvaanasya sarpiSaH

They draw nigh that follow after mischief: they are far from thy law.

evaa pavasva suvitaaya navyase tava vratam anv aapaH sacante

pari priyaH kalashe devavaata indraaya somo raNyo madaaya

abhi vo arce poSyaavato nRRn vaastoS patiM tvaSTaaraM raraaNaH

sa sukratur yo vi duraH paNiinaam punaano arkam purubhojasaM naH

sugur asat suhiraNyaH svashvo bRhad asmai vaya indro dadhaati

ye te trir ahan savitaH savaaso dive -dive saubhagam aasuvanti

ayujran ta indra vishvakRSTiir vidaanaaso niSSidho martyatraa

asmaakam adya marutaH sute sacaa vishve pibata kaaminaH
