kaviH kavitvaa divi ruupam aasajad aprabhuutii varuNo nir apaH sRjat

yas te manyo .avidhad vajra saayaka saha ojaH puSyati vishvam aanuSak

The LORD is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.

adhi shriyaM ni dadhush caarum asmin divo yad akSii amRtaa akRNvan

duuraad indram anayann aa sutena tiro vaishantam ati paantam ugram

tasyed ime pravaNe sapta sindhavo vayo vardhanti vRSabhasya shuSmiNaH

shuuro na dhatta aayudhaa gabhastyoH sva\H siSaasan rathiro gaviSTiSu

adhaa te sakhye andhaso vi vo made raNan gaavo na yavase vivakSase

ny a\mRkSaama yoSaNaaM na marye nityaM na suunuM tanayaM dadhaanaaH

For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

kartaa sudaase aha vaa ulokaM daataa vasu muhur aa daashuSe bhuut

They are passed away as the swift ships: as the eagle that hasteth to the prey.

Where the birds make their nests: as for the stork, the fir trees are her house.

Seeing many things, but thou observest not; opening the ears, but he heareth not.
